Wow, who came up with that joke of a Great Plains Team?

How were these teams selected, 1 person, group decison/vote, interested in knowing?

SLU got 0 skaters?

3rd Best Defensemen off SCC?

Ian Mackie as the Coach? (good guy, not even head coach of his team much less an all star team?)

Best Defensemen in the whole NCRHA league (Brandon Marchand) a atlternate?

SCC goalie who not only led them to a D3 title but also held LU (Best Team in the league) to within (2) 1 goal games?

I don't want to dog on any selected player because all are decent but defintly not the best.

SLU made it to the final in D2 and even though Cash played amazing they still had to score goals to win, who were those players?

They actually selected my projected GP all-star team I made last week 100%
I think they did a good job.

I think they did a good job, as well.

It's tough to pick these teams, and no matter what, a deserving party will be left off the list. It's just the nature of the beast. The fact that fellow DU student Pat Lawton picked the GP allstar team speaks volumes.

Honestly,

I know that i let everyone down with 0 points at nationals, but i dont see any reason i shouldn't have made that team. Same goes for Justin and Pat.

Good Luck to all the players heading down to FL in July.

Who is the decider?

It should be someone from the4 GP region, nobody else.

KillinAintShe
04-11-2007, 10:45 AM
Wetton: 61 points in 19 games... Alternate. WOW!

Also, you might want to try spelling people's names correctly. Clearly chosen by someone outside the region...

After talking with someone else about this, I realized that the league should probably explain to everyone how the players were selected. Also, any player could come on here and talk about their respective region, claiming this guy or that guy should have made it. Lets just congratulate the players that were selected and wish them luck.

This makes me think that the regions chose the respective teams.

I have to agree with this statement...There is always a player or players who people think should be there, me included but just want to say congrats and good luck to those who were chosen..Florida in July ? Geez !!

All teams were chosen by people in their respective regions. The mannor in which they were chosen was decided by that region.

Also, there are a lot of great players out there and only a limited amount of space for them. Anytime you do things like this there is always people who feel left out. I know in the ECRHA we started with a list of over 40 players and had to widdle that down to 12. And I felt that the list of 40 left some players out that deserved to go. Basically this is not an easy thing to do and there is no way to please everyone.

Congratulations to everyone for a great season. I think this event should be a fun way to celebrate college roller hockey and showcase some of our better players.

Thank you all,

i guess there is no room for the stay at home solid defenseman in roller hockey.

i predict 10-11 victories every game

This is an all-star tournament - we don't want any defense. as a matter of fact we were thinking of giving out minors to any team that backchecks or forchecks. And the goalies are going to be instructed to only use their gloves to make saves otherwise we will start taking away whatever peice of equipment other than the glove that they used - including the cage:D .

above is a completely sarcastic remark and in no way is the official stance of anyone including myself.

Where is Paul McIntyre. Somebody should have chosen Paul McIntyre for the games he didn't play. Kansas State's coach got screwed again. Especially, the assistant. Right when they were coming back hopes zapped and ultimately the rightful position atop the all-star bench destroyed. When will this conspiracy never end. Down with the mongers of hate and treachery who chose these misguided teams.

i get that this was a joke, but on that note nobody from any SECHRL team has been voted so why single out emory, lol?

In the news article, there are a few spelling errors....

Brandon Barnette (not Barnett)
Adam Clarke (not Clark)
Zach Stacy (not Stacey).

Can these be fixed ASAP? :D

Also, E can go ahead and be first on the list -- makes sense, since E is first in the alphabet.

But G is before M, and M comes before S, which comes before W.

Perception = reality. It's better to avoid fueling false perceptions in even the tiniest way.

IMHO, at least. :)

James/UMSL

PS - This is going to be a great event. I will be there. Hoping to see fierce competition, rather than a dipsy-doodle all-star tournament. Everyone has something to prove.

It's true. Bourque's coaching strategy in the D1 all star game garnered me 8 free Revision wheels. HOF worthy performance behind the benches.

All Star = Player with most points at Nationals

All Star = Coach with most wins at Nationals

That would be to easy:) :)

We should have a whole game of solid stay at home defensemen. No one would ever score, and the blocked shots total would be through the roof. And for once in my life, someone would pick me for a team.....

Great idea. Here's the GPCIHL stay-at-home all stars.

Erick Cantrell, Lindenwood
Matt Wilson, Mizzou
Jimmy Cruse and Neil Bales, Truman State
Henry Elster, SLU
Nathan Bibb, UMR
Jesse Wolfersberger, UMSL
Justin Tucker and Joe Riney, Missouri State
Matt Riordan, Wash U
Brandon Van Damme, SIUC

This team might get into a bit of penalty trouble....hence the 11-man roster.

I don't know about the other regions, but I could make a team from college players in the league that could beat the ECRHA team at least. and thats fo real.

what does that mean (the 10 letters thing)

TheSnake22
04-17-2007, 08:48 PM
it means that any post must contain at least 10 characters

the post "no idea" does not contain 10 characters, so he filled the remaining necessary characters with his confusion about said setting...

if you would like a more detailed analysis i can provide it for $9.99 per page...
