after watching them at most mcrhl tournaments this year, i think they have a shot. It all depends on their goaltending. They can score with anyone ( two players with over fifty points) and shane barry is the best player in college roller hockey, i dont know how lindenwood didnt get him to come there.

Is there a betting site where I can place all my money on Lindenwood to win D1?

Maybe the original poster was referring to Missouri State University...And also I'm sure Shane Barry is good, but Lindenwood has this guy named Greg Thompson who isn't a bad player either. You might have heard of him, I think he even won high scorer at Narch Pro.

Truman State will be in the running for the d2 chmpionship, too...

I'd say that Micihgan State has a good shot at a deep run, but you can hand wrap 3 out of 4 titles...

two for Lindenwood
one for St. Charles

and then who wins DII is anyone's guess, but im sure there is 9 or 10 teams capable of being in the final four...experience gets the nod though and UMSL and NEumann both make it to the final four...

agreed.....
it would be nice to see some fresh teams in the final four in D2. considering neumann umsl and nevada have been pretty much locks the last 3 years. minus a slip up by umsl 2 years ago.
truman state west chester and drexel could all see there first final four appearances this year but i think umsl and neumann have just too much depth and talent to not make it that far.

I agree with all of the predictions except for d2.. To not mention Stony Brook or Hofstra is crazy.... Stony Brook won the ECRHA... and Hofstra has been good for years always contending.... I think that we will see some new teams in the Final Four this year.

Of the teams not yet mentioned:

Don't forget Long Beach State....they've picked up another year of experience. They'll be ready to challenge for the title.

UT Dallas will probably be tough as well. It's always hard to figure out how good they really are because of their weak league, but they never fall short of the quarterfinals at Nationals. Year after year, they're a force. And they've still got LEEEEEEEEEE.

SLU is my darkhorse pick. At their best, they're capable of beating anyone. (Not to mention their PIHA all-star in goal.)

Stony Brook had a great season, not to mention the ECRHA Final. Hofstra is always a force to be reckoned with.
So, who do you think from ECRHA will make the elite eight and then the final four?

well i'm glad we can have at least one topic that doesn't go right to a discussion about the ECRHA. not like this originated from a discussion about the midwest or anything...

Picking the final four (with teams from ANY region) is tough, it's really all going to depend on the pools.

And I wouldn't call that a slip up by UMSL 2 years ago! That was a quality win on our part :D

The UofM with it's fast skating will run and gun past the other University in Michigan. Two on ONES all day!!!!!!

MSU is out of the B-Ball tournaments so it is up to MSU to have a early exit at the next Nationals for there school. Maybe they will make it out of round robin.

I'm willing to take your money....The winner will come from the east in DII, you can speculate all you want, the East will rule DII...Neuman, Brook, Hofstra...These are real teams in a real division, one of the three I mention here will win it....You really wanna put some cash where your mouth is...private message me...Name it...your Cali teams don't have a chance, I admire your support, BUT, the East is for real....See you then! :D

The east is good and yes those 3 teams will do damage. So I know its a new year so completley different teams and I probably can't spell but what do you say about how the west did in last year nationals? So apparently the west isn't a real division nor do they have real teams? What team do you play for Hockey_Freak?

a team from the west (Nevada) ran us (Shippensburg) real bad last year..yeah teams have changed but the quality of play out there is still very high level
