I am collecting this information for my own personal knowledge. Would someone from each team please post the following:
Team Name:
School Location:
Home Rink Name:
Home Rink Location:
Distance From School to Rink (Miles):
Your home rink could be any indoor rink that you use to practice. It doesn't neccessarily have to be the nicest place in the world. But what im looking for is indoor rinks, with sport court that could be suitable for game play.
Example:
Team Name: Shippensburg University
School Location: Shippensburg, PA
Home Rink Name: Susquehanna Sports Center
Home Rink Location: Leymone, PA
Distance From School to Rink (Miles): 40 Miles

Team Name: Brockport
School Location: Brockport, NY
Home Rink Name: Randy Dix Memorial Pool
Home Rink Location: Tuttle South Gym - Multi-Purpose Room
Distance From School to Rink (Miles): On Campus
Randy Dix Memorial Pool is about the shape and size of a tennis court on top of an old swimming pool in the basement of an athletic facility. Sport Court and two nets that are falling apart are there. Randy Dix Memorial Pool is named after Randy Dix who was known for his 9 out of 10 sniping, and fat guy falls that put mine to shame. His career died when Craig "Trendy" Brodmerkel (currently Stony Brook goalie) told him that he couldn't go to regionals 4 years ago because he sucked and never came to practice.
60 Miles West of Brockport is Lockport which has a rink that is home of the Buffalo Wings. When I was a freshman there was a tournament there. I took a slapshot and it went through the wooden boards behind the net and Rebecca said we would never go back there again.
35 Miles East of Brockport is Irondeqouit, which features a rink of crappy sport court that has duct tape and screws/nails to keep it all together. One time a player's stick got stuck under the sportcourt and a 4 x 6 slab of tiles flew up and impeded an offensive player's progess on a 1 on 1. He eventually flipped over it, it was awesome.
Williamsport is a 3.5 hour drive and is the closest acceptable rink to play an ECRHA game at that I am aware of.

Home Rink Name: Alfond Arena
Home Rink Location: Orono, ME
Distance From School to Rink (Miles): On campus
Unfortunately for the league, the Alfond is an ice hockey arena, so playing roller hockey there would be tough unless you guys want to try roller blades on ice. However, I think it would be fun sometime to have teams like Vermont or Brockport come up and play some ice hockey for a weekend if we could get the ice.

Theres actually a decent rink in Aston. It's called tri-state sports. Very much like the facility in downingtown. I used to work there and they just opened up the rink again. In fact, I think the marple gladiators just made it their home rink. Prob about a 5 min drive from neumann. (i would know i can see the damn campus from my bedroom window)

What is the closest Roller Hockey Facility... Zrink?
Holbrook Sports Center in Holbrook, MA would be the closest. Beyond that, there is an ice rink in Rochester, NH that melts their ice in the summer and puts down a sportcourt, but that's only for three months.

actually the rink in tewksbury, MA would be closer to maine than holbrook. Tewks has an ice and roller but the roller is a little weak.

Team Name - RIT
School Location - Rochester, NY
Home Rink Name - RIT Auxillary Gym
Home Rink Location - RIT Campus
Distance From School to Rink (Miles) - none
Awful gym with stairs one side, and a divider to the real gym on the other, however, the small space allows us to work on a lot of individual stuff. Wood floor tears up wheels and blades, but then sportcourt feels extremely fast when we play games. Best part = Free!
Closest decent rink is Epic Center in Williamsville, Just outside Buffalo. Good enough for a small ecrha event. Big rink with nice sportcourt. Keenan Center that pat mentioned is ok, but not quite up to standards. All Star in Rochester is a very good try and would be fine for an ecrha event if they ever get a new floor.
off topic - best ecrha rink is Zrink I love that place

It's actually not the closest rink to campus. Sportime (which you sat at for many hours, Bill) is only 6 miles away, and on the same street as our campus. We just couldn't get good practice times (what, no one wants to do 1am practices??) and we need the 2 rinks for our A and B practices (which SkateSafe has). Plus, SkateSafe is a much nicer rink.

This is a very nice facility that does host tournaments. However, it is too far away for regular practices. This season, we were able to practice there 3 or 4 times. In the past, 3 years ago, we rented sportcourt and put it down on the tennis courts. Maine, we would be more than happy to play some ice.

Rink location: Nevillie Island

Home rink 2: Bladerunners
rink location: Harmarville PA
Distance to rink: 10 miles
although harmarville is closer, we usually spend most of our time at neville island. The island would be a great place to hold a tournament because it offers two surfaces and 4 locker rooms but unfortunately cannot be considered by the ecrha because it is an indoor/outdoor facility. Both rinks are covered by a large canopy and the sides of the building really consist of nothing more than heavy duty plastic curtains, making the weather a big factor. We freeze in the winter and the puck bounces and then we nearly die of heat stroke in the summer. However, if we ever had a tourney there the closest any team could get via hotel might be in the city which would be kind of a cool atmosphere, especially since pittsburgh has the best hockey fans in the NHL and the best young team.... and they arent moving

Out of curiosity, how much does renting sportcourt run?
