Looking at the east not only do i think it is the toughest division but also the most interesting as far as the teams involved. The growl have run away with first place but the ISCA Grizzlies have beaten them twice and caused them some headaches, the minutemen have beaten them once and given them some close games. There are 4 teams fighting for 3 spots in the playoff picture and it is going to be fun to watch the season unfold. Here is how i see it finishing up

1. Philadelphia Growl
2. ISCA Grizzlies
3. Connecticut
4. Minutemen

The minutemen are tough and will sneak into the picture and give the growl a run for the money, the grizzlies are a solid team for a first year program and have gotten past the 6 matchups with the growl making for an easier second half, connecticut has picked up momentum and is a strong team will be interesting to see the playoff matchup between them and the grizzlies. Then the finals with the growl will be extremely tough but anything can happen...any thoughts???

i dont see boston not finding a way into the playoffs. they have 4 games in hand on everyone ahead of them and they are only 1 point behind the pack... i see the growl in first, the blaze and the rats in either second and third, and the grizzlies and minutemen battling it out for the last spot with the edge going to the grizzlies. this weekend will sort out a lot though if there are any sweeps in the east. roller rats v. grizzlies, roller rats v. minutemen, blaze v. grizzlies... a lot can change in 2 days...

No mention of the Bombers? No team other then us has been able to sweep them all season. We did have an extremely watered down version of our roster against them, but I think they might have been the best team we have faced all year. I have no idea how it will end up, but I wouldn't bet against the Rats either.

bombers... ya i think i was wrong to omit them... their next 4 games are against hartford, and nothing is guarunteed but that could easily be 4 wins, although they did split with them the last time the 2 teams faced for one of the fire ants only 2 wins... who are the bombers 2 missing games against? every team definitely has a shot, i dont think the blaze are guaranteed a spot with 4 very tough games against the growl coming up in the next 2 weekends... every division except the gateway looks like it might come down to the last weekend of the season...

Flynn we swept them this weekend. I think that it is going to be an interesting next couple of weeks. This weekend is huge for all the teams. All 5 teams have the chance for the last 3 spots, and every game for the rest of each teams seasons are play off games. If any team gets a cold streak, there is no time to get out of it. Best of luck to all teams.

Oh yeah I forgot that they played on Sunday and lost. Well there goes that theory. hahah

The Bombers two missing games are against the Roller Rats. Likewise the Grizzlies have an missing set against the Blaze.

I've reconsidered my previous post, in another thread, and I think 1,2 & 3 will shape up this way:

1. Growl
2. Connecticut
3. Minutemen (Have been playing very well w/great goaltending)

The 4th seed should be a run down to the wire between Mass., Rink Rats and Grizzlies. I'll even go as so far to say that I think the team that gets into the 4th seed will get help from another team via an upset.

important to mention that you swept the bombers at home... in that thing you call a rink, anything could happen... from where everyone sits and the upcoming schedule, looks like no one is safe...

Jake, if you hated playing in my rink last year, then you owuld hate ISCA and the two rinks in Boston. They are all small rinks like mine. Isca is alot shorter but wider and the Boston rinks are very small. So yes we won our games at home but they play on a small rink as well. Hey I see your team is in a play off hunt as well. Best of luck.

wow... shorter? i dont know if i believe you... thats crazy talk... i didn't hate it as much as some of the other guys but that's probably because all i remember is scoring that triple OT goal :p

thanks for the info though i wasn't aware that so many other teams had small rinks... good luck to you guys too

i wish it was that easy for the rocky mountain confrence but its not, it seems like every night teams are losing games they should be winning and the other way around.

Jake, I am telling the truth the rinks are small. Minutemen(160x65), Grizzlies (150x70), Bombers (160x80) and the Rats is the smallest. I believe the dimensions are 140x55. They were trying to make it bigger but I do not know if they did. I may be wrong on the Rats rink but they are the smallest

Yes I do remember your OT goal last year.

Flynn can you change our website link on your site. it is njminutemen.com take out the bravehost. Since many people go to your site we would like to have the right one on it. I know to get to other team sites I go to yours.

ya i know you were telling the truth i was just messing... i don't know about the other rinks but i think the low ceilings make your rink feel a little smaller than it actually is...

Holbrook Sports Center, home of the Boston Roller Rats and Holbrook Swamp Donkeys measures in at 146' X 74'. We have everything necessary to lengthen it another 8' this summer when things slow down and I can afford to cease operations for a couple of days. I guess we are the shortest for now, but the width seems to be decent. (no jokes please...LOL)

Sports World Center in Tewksbury where the Bombers & Predators play is 160' X 85'.

York's rink is pretty tiny too....my fav rink is hot shots in Mt pleasant....nice size and the lighting is good too. And damn that glass is always CLEAN!

Hot Shots is definitely nice...very good floor - fast and grippy...reminds us of home. Mr. Kent has put a ton into Shooters here in Richmond with excellent results.

ya york is interesting with it's size and no glass on the side... hot shots is growing on me since its my new home rink, but i prefer sport court to ice court and such... as far as i'm concerned though, the most important factor in any rink is having showers...

The rats will make the playoffs! Their rink is the hardest to play in. Bounces always go their way up there in holbrook.

Best facility in the league is Z-Rink in Ct. The rink is in great shape, huge lockerrooms with showers and its fan friendly. The only knock on the rink is when you play the Blaze, Pinheiro has too much open floor, the kid is a hybrid of Gumby and the Roadrunner.

I like the Lunatics rink. It's so fast, and is great for making deflection passes to teammates. I heard the rink in Ct. is huge. Catching Johnny P. on that rink is probably harder than getting Ying and Troho to pass up on an all you can eat buffet !!! lol

Hey, the way I look at it, it's not me who should be embarassed about my exclusion from the game. I should've known that if I wasn't leading the league in scoring at the break, like in the previous 3 years, I was going to get porked.

If its any consolation you are #1 in my PIHA fantasy league.

Jake . .. just to go back to your previous convo with Justin. Don't most rinks appear fairly large to you though . .considering you're . . vertically challenged . .;) I mean a rink like Feasterville must look like a landing strip for a 747 to you. hahah later jake!

Tro and JV . . .I don't wanna be brought into this in anyway . .. you guys are sick and yes Jimmy . . you are still classless. I'll let you know how the all-star game goes, and whether or not anyone has any other "history book" worthy comments such as your's to poor RK Kent last year . . . .just classless hahaha. And Tro if you remember correctley . .. i finagled myself out of staying in JV's room for the obvious fears of my footwear and anything else he could've soiled. . .

lol thanks chris... little bit of a late hit though... i think you got enough here to keep you busy with your frosted tips and your soiled sandals...

and i'd give about anything to see jimmy repeat that line he said to RK but unfortunately i don't think it's board material...
