As a long long time Islander fan I finally have something to be excited about. What do you guys think of the moves? Do you think they can re-sign Smyth? Isn't it ironic that Snow might turn out to be a much better GM then goalie (maybe I should move upstairs).

They Are Definately A Better Team. Smyth Is A Ptp(prime Time Player) And Zednik(if Healthy) Pretty Much Gives The Isles A New 1st Line! Idon't Care Who You Put Smyth And Zednik With, They Will Be Productive. However, How On Earth Could They Resign Jason Blake And Ryan Smyth? Both Are Due Significant Raises (blake Currently At 1.5mil And Smyth Around 3.5). Too Bad They Signed That Yashin Contranct Years Ago. He's Definately The Most Overpaid Player In Hockey.
All In All The Isles Will Have A Good Chance At A First Round Upset But They Will Probably Have To Go Through Buffalo Or New Jersey To Make That Happen.
