Interesting, with less than 1:30 left in game one, and with less than :30 left in game two, both games tied, and then hooking calls on the Bombers to put the Growl on the power play going into overtime. Hmmm........... Did anyone else pick up on this?

Yeah I noticed that, but I wouldn't go insinuating that the refs handed the game to the Growl.

About as interesting as the fact that the Roller Rats rostered 3 goaltenders for their games against Connecticut, one being Pete Pennecke (a well known, recent pick up) and only played their regular 2. I guess we should assume Pete just went to dress and sit the bench...

Pete played game one, I played game two. Kevin, our other tender, did not play. See how easy that was to explain.

That was about as interesting as the 4 on 2 powerplay the Bombers had at a critical point of the game. The reffs made the right calls on both occassions. The games were great for everyone in attendance, and I didn't hear any complaints from either team about the officiating.

To clarify, I am talking about this weekend vs Hartford (I mistakenly put Connecticut). Assuming we're talking about those games, and the game sheets were entered in correctly by the Boston staff, they have you as playing game one and Kevin as playing game two.

Just to make a point about the penaltys, game #1 even amount of penaltys called, makes no difference when there called. Game #2 Mass had 5 powerplays to our 2, more than twice as many chances, don't think anyone was trying to help us there.

Good observation Joe. It appears to have been a keypunch error and has been corrected.

if anyone is implying that the growl get calls has not been to enough of our games, ask Conn who when they came to play us enjoyed 4 on 2 PP's for an entire half

Not a problem, just figured Pete wouldn't drive up to Boston to ride the pine. Hmmm, unless you guys have one hell of a incentive package, in which case, I'm eligable for free agency next year I think... just kidding Flynn. ;)

Just to set the record straight, in game#1 both teams had an even amount of powerplays, same amount of penaltys. In game #2 we had five penaltys to Mass two, don't think anyone helping us there.

Haven't commented much, but I haven't the slightest clue who reffed the Growl games this past weekend, but anyone who witnessed our games against the Growl two weekends ago could most likely see that the one younger official was clearly in love with a certain player. . .with such comments as "That's (name here), you can't do that to (name here)." Which inevitably led to what some would call "house calls". Just my two cents on our games, aside from a buncha botched calls on the part of the younger official, they were two very exciting games.

One thing I can tell you with absolute certainty. We never get SZ house league officials for our Growl games. In fact the ref you are speaking of, I had never seen before. I just had to look at the scoresheet to see who it was. We've pretty much had a mixture of the same four guys throughout the season and that was the one and only time we had that guy.

As for this past weekend. In both games, Sean Sullivan had semi-breakaways late and was hooked from behind. They were no brainer calls. We are very fortunite to have a very dedicated pair of photographers who come to all of our games. I'm certainly not about to publish pictures to disclaim this topic, but trust me I've seen the pictures and there is no doubt about either call.
