Growl vs Bombers
Minor-Game 1, 3-2 Bombers
Minor-Game 2, 6-2 Scrappers, or something like that
Pro-Game 1, 4-3 Growl in OT
Pro-Game 2-,7-6 Growl in OT
Congrats to my Growl team for playing so well and missing so many guys, the minor guys stepped up big especially Fichter with 2 goals. Joe D played awesome in net, and had at least 30 saves in game 2 as the Bombers played a great game and outshot the Growl 33-12 or some crazy number like that. The Bombers impressed me though and will be a team to reckon with the rest of the season and playoffs.

Bandits Pro won both vs Pottstown...can't remember the score...but I do remember the sickest goal I have ever seen scored by Ziggy Marzelek...unreal!!!
Bandits Minor won both there games vs Pottstown
Pittsburgh- 6
Pottstown- 0
Pittsburgh- 3
Pottstown- 2
In the 2nd minor game, Pottstown gave us a great game, it was 2-2 with i'd say a minute or less left in the game, and we scored the game winning goal. Great game though

I don't know if anyone got it on tape, but I can try and explain it(no disrespect to the Pottstown Goalie). Ziggy had a semi break away, about 3 feet b-4 he reached the net, he put the puck between his legs, did a 360 and backhanded it. Almost as sick as the "Mchigan" in my opinion!!! I sure hope someone either from our side, or Pottstown got it on tape....he could win an espy with that one!!! Thanks guys...good luck the rest of the way

I see that the Fire-Prowlers weekend game was entered incorrectly. The Fire loss was an overtime loss and should have been given a point. The record should be 9-6-0-3 = 21pts. A division this tight-every point is important.

There is no error. Once the entire game sheet is entered and an overtime goal is entered, that point will then be awarded.

We had a bunch of stellar games and crowds this past weekend in St. Louis.
You can see the scores on www.thepiha.com (http://www.thepiha.com).
We had a quadrouple overtime shootout yesterday between the Snipers and Whalers..which went two rounds into the shootout.
I got to enjoy losing in the shootout haha. Bottom line was all the games were good matchups: physical, fun, and the crowds were entertained.
In impressive manner, the Whalers came back against the Pythons on Saturday night down THREE goals with less than two minutes to play. The Whale won in it in OT.

How many people are you getting at the games out there...attendence wise?
Dave Garland

Depends on the weekend:
This past weekend we had 250+ on Friday and Sunday and 400+ on Saturday

seems to be the best attendance numbers in the league
Dave Garland

Attendance has been solid. We got hit a month ago with an ice storm which didn't help one weekend and we had do a few weekday games this year due to rinks having their schedules filled.
Our record is well above 500, close to 600.
Even on a weekday we are drawing well over 100.

dave... roughly what would the breakdown be of the people in the crowd? what are the percents of family, friends, other players, casual observers, and "real" fans? whatever it is, i'm still impressed. keep it up.

can you get some pics up of the packed rinks?
Dave Garland
02-26-2007, 11:11 PM
I will put up some pics of the packed rinks..no problem. I have some on my computer and will grab some more and put it together.
As far as the break down of fans, it includes the following:
1. Families/Friends
2. Season Ticket Holders
3. Kids (with and without their parents)
4. Sponsor tickets (each sponsor has about 20 tickets per game to give out to employees, etc.)
5. General Admission sold at the door
An exact breakdown is hard to say. Friends/Family come to every game of course. The rinks have intiatives put in place to attract kids and families to the games: such as pro players hanging out with youth kids during the weekends, etc.
All of our tickets are $5 and kids 8-and-under are free. 600+ season tickets were sold this year (league wide). Now with the press that the league is getting (St. Louis Magazine article) and soon River Front Times article and possibly St. Louis Business Journal, people are starting to come out that don't even know what inline hockey is or is just a casual Blues fan.
We have a bunch of grassroots marketing efforts that we have started that will only improve and get better. If you want to know more about those, let me know.
Our 'gate' record this year (meaning money that came just from the gate for that game) is $1,600+ which does not include season ticket holders and kids obviously (in case you were wondering season tickets are $50).
We have learned about scheduling this year as well. We have games on many different nights and we are finding which times/locations work the best (besides the obvious Friday/Saturday nights).

Is this for one particular rink or all of the rinks for one day/night? and does your season ticket get you into every teams games or just one teams?
Dave Garland
02-27-2007, 12:08 AM
That $1600 was one rink in one day.
Season ticket holders this season get tickets to their team's home and away games.
