USA Hockey InLine and NARCh Combine National Championships

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. ? USA Hockey InLine, the official inline hockey program of USA Hockey, announced today a partnership with the North American Roller Hockey Championships (NARCh) to combine their respective national championship tournaments. Both tournaments will be incorporated into the NARCh Finals event to be held in Estero, Fla., at the Germain Arena from July 13-29, 2007.

?We?re pleased to create this new venture with NARCh in an effort to better promote the game and provide an outstanding national tournament experience,? said Gary Del Vecchio, director of USA Hockey InLine. ?Combining these tournaments will further help to unify the sport of inline hockey.?

Under the partnership, both NARCh and USA Hockey InLine will operate regional qualifiers that send teams to the NARCh Finals event. The regional tournaments operated by USA Hockey InLine will primarily qualify teams into new Club Divisions at the NARCh Finals. All USA Hockey InLine eligibility rules and regulations will remain in place for these events. As before, all domestic teams that compete in the NARCh Finals must be registered with USA Hockey InLine.

?NARCh is excited to work even closer with USA Hockey InLine,? said NARCh President Daryn Goodwin. ?Having one true championship is something that the sport has needed for a long time.?
