I was really bored and was on the PIHA site, and seen an error in Ryan Clemens goals against....It says he has 100 GA in 16 games. In fact, the teams total combine GA is only 79. So I did some research on the game sheets and found out that he actually only has 78 goals against. Very bored, but being a goalie(or somewhat close)myself, I thought I would hook a brother up and give him the credit a MVP(which should be renamed to Most Valuable Position and given to goalies every year) the props he deserves.

how does a goalie that has close 5 GAA win MVP, no disrespect to Clemens, he is a great player but I think Brian Yingling or John Pinheiro are the frontrunners right now.

"how does a goalie that has close 5 GAA win MVP"

He doesn't? He was the league MVP last year, he didn't say anything about him winning it this year. the post was by a goaltender who was giving a fellow goaltender some love...

There are a ton of people out there who can be included in the MVP discussion, and he's probably still one of them. The way the Rockies are packed together, anything could happen out there...

You don't give out an MVP award on the basis of only statisitcs. The MVP is given to the most valuable player to his or her team. That is why I feel you are way off base with Brian Yingling, at this point. While he is obviously a great player, his team has been losing, more than winning. John Pinheiro is a good selection, as is Sean Sullivan, who I get to watch score highlight film goals, on a weekly basis.

Oh Geez. Thanks, Flynner. I'm wondering if my divorce papers are going to coincide with the day a town car shows up in front of your house...lol

I called the league to see if I could donate a few assists over to you, because I feel bad about your feeble stats. Their response was not benefical to you, as I was told that a pro player can't transfer stats to minor leaguer, no matter how badly needed....lol No offense to anyone playing in the minors, this was just a joke targeted at "The Snake". I think the talent pool in the minors is the best I've seen it !!!

Thanks old man for the definition of an MVP, I really needed your help to judge what the MVP is. By the way NL MVP Ryan Howard was on the Phillies, you know a team that didnt make the MLB playoffs. I guess not everbody gets wiser with age.

johnny P has to be the early favorite for league MVP.... without him the Blaze are not in playoff contention... also Hewkin is another good choice from the Midwest team... Brain Ying and CJ will always be candidates as should sullivan...Dustin Roux is proving himself more and more worthy every week as well... if they had to give out a MVBW (most valuable bench warmer) i think i would get the nod... :D

I think you can give MVP to a player who's team isn't one of the best, but I can't see justification for giving MVP to anyone on a team who doesn't have a playoff spot right now in a 5 team division. As good as Yingling and Yoder are playing, Thunder have to be at least a playoff team for them to get it. At least that's my thoughts..
Just throwing out a few other names for discussion...
Brian Rodgers of Littleton, he's putting up big numbers this year and the Fire are 2nd in RMD.
Shayne Hayden of Pikes Peak, 9th in the league in scoring, and the Prowlers lead RMD.
Tommy Bruce and Greg Thompson of Southside, both leading the Snipers, 2nd in the Midwest.
Joe D'Aloisio of Philadelphia, not splitting the load in net like most goaltenders around the league and still up there in G.A.A. and leading the league in save percentage.
James Cash of Midwest, leading the league in G.A.A, Tornados are in 1st in Midwest.

wow... i hope jimmy never finds your address or you'll be in the jersey river lol with the rest of the people that have crossed him... your analogy is off though as pointed out by other posts. in MLB, there are 16 teams in a league, and 4 make the playoffs. and the Phillies were the first team left out, so they were very much in the race. in PIHA, there are either 5, 7 or 8 teams in a division, and 4 make it from each. it's much easier to make the playoffs when you take at least half of the teams from every division, as opposed to taking a quarter of them.

if i had a ballot and had to pick 5 names, i'd probably lose my mind before i could narrow it to 10... it's hard to take a player from the growl or the bandits because they're loaded through and through... but giving it the college try...

1) J. Pinhiero
2) J. D'aloisio
3) S. Sullivan
4) D. Roux
5a) B. Rodgers
5b) J. Cash

ok so i couldn't get it to 5... but based on statistics and relative value to the team, this is as good as i can do... so many other names deserve to be considered. I'd throw an MVP poll up but it's a little early eh...
