so what are the options now? it's too bad about the Disney thing though because that would have been great exposure for the league! hopefully, as i am sure they will, the PIHA staff will find another great location for the finals like colorado was...

I spoke with Charley today about this and they are feverishly working on something. From what I've been told they are still trying to work with AAU, but they arnt releasing anything until it is a definete.

What was it that happened to the finals being at Disney in Fla?

Apparently the NBA took over that weekend at the Wide World of Sports. So AAU was pushed out and moved the tournament to West Palm Beach. Since PIHA was basically sub-leasing the rink time from AAU, they really had no say about it. AAU works with Disney down there, so I'm sure it was a mutual decision to let the NBA have the weekend.

I thought PIHA was an AAU Sanctioned thing so it is a partnership between Charlie (aka PIHA) and AAU.

Am I correct, or is there a different agreement?
