View Full Version : Top players early in the season
I was just looking at stats on the website, seeing who the top guys are so far, and noticed a few things...
-Yoder and Yingling must be lacking much support over there in Colorado Springs to be 1-2 in scoring in the league while their team is in the basement of the Rocky Mountain division.
-How about DJ Williams of Marple? His 8 powerplay goals lead the league, and his 45 penalty minutes lead the league, which is impressive considering he's also 6th in the league in scoring. Plus, he's still got the Gladiators at about .500, with a shot at the playoffs.
-Pittsburgh is the lone unbeaten left, if they're going down in the regular season, when will it be? They barely escaped Scottdale with 2 wins to open the season and they're hosting the Inferno in Pittsburgh for 4 games over the course of 2 weekends...could it be then?
That's all I've got. Should start up some good conversation...

Pittsburgh plays Harrisburg this weekend. If they are going to drop a game, the chances are probably best against them. But anything can happen in any game. That should be a very interesting series.

This weekend we will all find out about Pitt! As far as DJ ive been playing against him for a couple years now and to see his stats does not surprise me. He is a big strong player with ALOT of skill.

Yeah, I've never seen him play or even heard about him before this season. But he must be good to be 6th in scoring while spending more time in the penalty box than any player in the league.

Haha, its Parker Harrison, get it right!
Although that was weird that he, or someone pretending to be him, started a thread about himself...he is doing very well this season and I was wondering where he came from.

Our games in Pittsburgh this weekend are going to be rough! Harrisburg has an awesome team, and will be a challenge. Without Ciolli, Ziggy, Masem, and some other havy hitters not being there, we will have our hands full. Should be some great games. Good luck to all this weekend

Parker is from colorado springs. he went to coronado high school and is a very gifted hockey player. he is one of my teammates on the pikes peak prowlers. parker has fantastic puck handling skills and works well with the rest of our team. true pleasure to have on the team. he can be a comedian but is well liked with the team. hey parker try that michigan on someone that you can score on because all 3 attempts in the tourny on me failed to see the back of the net hahaha. just kidding, you are a great teammate and a fantastic asset to the team regardless of what people may say or post. thanx for being a prowler!!

haha hey thanks Risenhoover...thats nice of u, i really appriciate the words. (especially the comedian remark) lol. But about that thread about me, i was at the rink one night and Mulhern told me to do it, but he forget the little detail about not making the user name so obvious! haha (opps, my B)! i thought it was funny tho...and as for these, so-called 3 saves on the michigan, u just wait..i was def forcing it and one of ur boys almost broke my wrists on the first one so after that it was all down hill! O well..get ready for tomorrow we're gonna need a big one out of u!
p.s. I ref'd Lamb's game tonight in rec gold and he got 40 shots and came away with a shutout! it was a first for me to see in gold so far especially with the lack of D...just lettin u kno, give Dan a pat on the hind end tomorrow for that one k? L8er buddy

We need more info from you guys out there in CO. There is no shortage of info on the PIHA site about the other three divisions and the only team that seems to update anything out there is the Blizzard.

Each team is responsible for their own information. Talk to your team rep and see if they will give you access to write articles. You can also email them to me, ill make sure that it gets up.

i am not sure who is responsible for our stuff on the prowlers. i want to say cj but that doesnt sound right either. it would be nice to have a seperate website dedicated to the prowlers organization. pictures , articles and everything. i wouldnt know where to begin with something like that. i think i remember coach bill saying that he cant do it but we could find someone that is interested in creating a website for us but i could be mistaken on that. i like how you can visit other teams sites such as the growl and blizzard, we should have one as well. with that being said, no other team in the rocky mountain division even has a site except the blizzard. maybe we as a whole kinda need to get on track with that. fans would love to see their favorite teams sites. i dont know but its an idea.

The Catz also have a seperate site. Every team that has a site is listed on the Growl site, in the "PIHA NETWORK" bar across the top.

If your interested in setting up a site email Mike Burke.

There are so many young players coming through the ranks. Sullivan, Roux, Redstreake, Saraceni, etc... And of course your Vets that have done it year after year...Pinhero, Tracy, Mazer, Yoder, Yingling, Vivona, etc...It's nice to watch a league grow into it's own with so much tallent playing...I didn't even mention the goal tenders. Pitt will have a 3 headed monster with Laggat, Hammerschlag and Harding, when he returns from surgery...So much to look forward to...
Need to mention a few things...
Ying...you know already!!!!! Biff too.....HaHa!
Yokes, you still hold the fastest travel time from Phila to Pitt...2hr 57min...LOL
Jay Toran
I'm ready for retirement...

There are a lot of young players that are going to be huge impacts in the next few years in the league.
Brock Wilson-bandits-could be one of the best defenseman in the league as of now
bandits also have a lot more young players in sean masem, ben dyer, jason roux, jake cole and eric keene who are around 19 and 20 yrs old.
Shane Davis-inferno-best player for them offensively
Sobieski-fury-leads the team in points
Ryan Bernot- blizzard- hasnt made a huge impact yet but he has a lot of skil
Brian Rodgers- fire- leads them in points as of now, great player.
Im not gonna go through all the young players in the st louis area, b/c there are a lot and it would take way too long. Also, I dont really know any of the players from the northeast division.

I can't speak for other teams but Robbie Fulton, of the NJ Grizzlies, will be a standout in this team for along time.
