Minors split (Tornados/Pythons)

The pro games were awesome to say the least. The Fudge-less (out of town) Tornados took two from the Pythons. The first game as 2-1 Tornados in a well-played defensive game. In the second game, the Pythons used a late power play to go ahead with less than a minute left 2-1; however, Ian 'littles' Mueller popped home a rebound for the Tornados with just 8 seconds remaining to send the game into Overtime. The first overtime was as exciting as you will see with end-to-end action and several posts and breakaways. The goalies stood tall and the game headed into double-ot. After controlling the puck for the first minute or so, the Tornados made a quick line change and Ken Moeser went on an end-to-end rush and scored the game winner with a low shot through a screening defensemen.

Both teams played hard and the games were great and could have gone either way. At halftime, a fan won a $50 gift certificate to Bernie Federko's restaurant along with 2 Blues tickets in the Alumni box including food and drink (the contest was a paper airplane toss ). There was also some shots for $1000 which no one won this time.

Tomorrow night, the Tornados and Snipers square off at All American. It will be interesting to see how the night turns out with both teams shaking up their rosters a bit for the weekend.

Up here at TORHS, Ace Jerseys has all of the PIHA jerseys on display and some of the Gateway jerseys are awesome. I'm a particular fan of the dark tornados jersey and the two snipers jerseys. Glad to here everything out there is going well.

the score of the first express vs robins game was more like 7-3. the second was 4-3. Much of both games were special teams.

Blaze V Ants

Great games as usual. Ants coach not there with a family issue, could really see that it hurt their team. They gave up two short-handed goals to JP on a 4 on 2 powerplay in the first pro game and gave up 7 special teams goals in the pros on the night while only scoring 2 themselves. They really need to stay out of the box.
Their goalie in the second pro game (miltz) was fantastic.
