Robins Vs. Gladiators
1st Game: Gladiators 7-2
2nd Game: Gladiators 8-6
Only minor complaint I have is that at the end of the game the shot totals that me and the other golaie I belive were switched. Only reason I say that is cause I was taking shots from everywhere and I froze the puck a lot more then indicated on the score sheet. Also the play was in my end for at least more then half the game with shots comming from almost every angle. In the 2nd game the other goalie on our team had a similar situation to me and the play seemed to be around him with shots comming from everywhere. I very well could be wrong but then again there was only 1 person that I saw keeping track of the the clock, shots, and penalties. So if that was the case it is very hard to keep track of everything during a game so Kudos for that person trying your best to keep track of everything.
Other then that it was a great game and Congrats to the Gladiators for a hard fought game. Good Luck to everyone if your playing in tomorrows Games.
p.s. I am not trying to make any excusses for me the other goalie on my team and the team itself. We didn't play well in the 1st game as a team and neither did I.

Gladiators vs Inferno
minors game 1: inferno 4-3
game 2: gladiators 4-3 OT (on the weirdest play .. they only have one goalie, and there was a battle in front that awarded gladiators a penalty shot and the goalie used a racial slur and was ejected, so the penalty shot was takin on a while the inferno used a player in regular equipment to play goalie for the penalty shot, which was scored on)
pro
game 1: inferno 4-3
game 2: gladiators 7-4

Classic matchup in St. Louis
Minors split (Tornados vs. Whalers)
Pros:
Tornados 8 Whalers 4
Whalers 5 Tornados 4 (in a SHOOTOUT, went through all OT periods!).
Unreal game in the second one. JP Beilsten scored the gamewinner in the shoutout with a great move (he had all 5 goals for the Whalers).
Dave Thomas (whalers minor goalie) got the call to play in game 2 of the PRO and played awesome down the stretch especially in OT!

Did Messina and Costanza play for the whalers yesterday? If so, how'd they do?

Dave,
I'm pretty certain that you were not supposed to go to a shootout. I'd contact the league for the correct procedure. I'm fairly sure that after the 1 on 1 in the regular season, the game is supposed to end in a tie. Policy may have changed and I could be incorrect, but we should all know the answer to this question, now that it seems to have come up.

The correct policy for overtime this year is:
3 on 3 for 4 mins
2 on 2 for 3 mins
1 on 1 for 2 mins
1 man sudden death shootout...and that is what we did.
JP Beilsten, Dan Costanza, and Pete Messina were all in the lineup.

This is honestly the first time I have heard of this. However I'm also glad to hear it, as I don't think games should ever end in a tie. Especially since teams are getting a point for an OT loss. Sounds like it was a great weekend in St Louis. Didn't mean to be contrary, we have just played differently for the past 4 years and no one let us know about this change.
