First off congrats to the Vivona family.

Now, on to the good stuff, I was browsing the Growl web site when I came across the worst helmet ever.

Are you kidding me...is that even legal? hahahah

Tro when you are that good looking it does not matter what you wear.

Congrats to the Vivona family.

Thats the Gretzky helmet. And it is by far not the worst helmet ever.

And just for the record, since Jimmy called me busting my chops about being old school, apparently Jimmy is not just a set up man, he does shoot and finish sometimes...its rare and it may take years but the perseverance pays off.

I seem to recall back in the day (which was a Wednesday, I'm not sure if any of you knew that), you cramming your skull into one of those round white Lemuiex Jofa helmets. Don't argue, it'll just motivate me to search for the picture and post it. :p

joey d - if you need an extra push in the motivation category...i'm here. although i have seen tro squeeze his melon into the old "lemieux" jofa personally, i think everyone else should have a chance to see the laws of physics go right out the window.

i would like to congratulate jimmy and his saint of a wife raissa. however, i am scared to death that jimmy v has reproduced. now my kids won't be able to get a word in while being on the rink with his kid, just like i can't with him now. congrats and good luck man!

Do you see the similarities here Lemieux...Troho...bad back...early retirement...

I'm pretty sure the similarities end there...

On another note, any bets that the first words outta Jimmy V's kids mouth will be "distribute the puck"?

I want to thank all my friends for the kind wishes regarding Raissa's pregnancy. I also laughed a lot when I read what followed many of those kind wishes. I can't for the life of me figure out how I gained such a reputation. Well anyway, I want to address a few things. I was shocked to see an older player like Troho be critical of the "Gretzky" style Jofa helmet. For I'm quite sure that through many years of seeing him play, he's placed much uglier hemets on that big dome of a head he has. Thank you Steve Yingling. Raissa smiled when she read that you've nominated her for sainthood due to her being married to me, however, I think we all know that she hit paydirt when she married someone as gook looking and "blessed" like me...haha What is this nonsense about me making sure the refs know that 99 got the assist. These are smart guys, and are fully aware that it had to be me that makes such creative plays to set up the Bobby Beauchamps and Billy Katinsky's of the world. As far as the first words of my future namesake, I'll just say that whatever they are, I'm sure it will be said with the genuine modesty of his or her father, as opposed to that of the conceited mother...lol lol It's nice to be back on here !!! Love you guys, Jimmy V.99

Tro

Speaking of white jofa buckets, do you recall Bock's white one full of bug stickers. Dudes would come to the faceoff and be like WTF.

There are a few helmets that standout to me:

1. Bocks helmet with the Roach stickers all over it.

2. Bantlys "Buffalohead" helmet that we made Tanner wear in Voorhees.

3. Green helmet guy from Liberty Oak

4. Jimmy V's that dates him back to when Stonehenge was built.

5. I guess my Jofa 690 but indefense Tracy wore the same damn helmet so why do I get singled out? Is it cause when I wore it I looked like the guy from He-Man? You remember the guy that you pushed down on and you could use him as a battering ram? Just let me know.

I knew it was only a matter of time before Rockhill pointed out my hockey fashion fo-pa. I do believe the roach helmet is in the possession of one Matty Denton. I'm sure it would have gotten me a few bucks on e-bay.

I have to agree with Troho though, Liberty Oak Green Helmet Guy was pretty bad. Long live the Libert Oak Cup.....
