Wow Feasterville 5 Harrisburg 2, major upset. Thats an impressive opening series for Feasterville considering many people including myself didnt give them much of a shot. Congrats Feasterville great way to start the season.

People counted the Feasterville team out before we started and that is pefectly fine. We are not going to say we are going to come out and beat everybody but we will be a part of the equation when it comes to this league. Great job by all of our players tonight and a great job by the Lunatics. Our home opener was a fantastic event and we are looking forward to the rest of our season. As for the Growl-Blaze game. It was electric from the start as many of our players have played with or against the Blaze players in Piha, MLRH, or Narch and Torhs so there was a lot of energy in the game. We jumped out to a 3-0 lead and things got heated with a good fight(esp for a PIHA game) at center ice, and a lot of trash talking was going on. We spent the entire 2nd period of game 1 in the box, and if anyone was there, they can concur that it was the entire 2nd period we were shorthanded. But Joe D came up huge and we came out on top 3-2. Game 2 was a more prototypical PIHA game with up and down action and hardly any penalties. We came out on top 6-2, but take nothing away from the Blaze, they played hard and put everything they had on net, but Joey played better than I have ever seen him play to keep us in the game till we started to score. The Blaze will be a force to be reckoned with this season, especially with Pinheiro playing the entire game, lol. Good luck everyone this season, and congrats to Feasterville on beating a powerful Lunatics team.

Yeah the Growl-Blaze games were pretty good ones... we went up 3-0 real quick in the first game and sat back thinking we were going to roll like we have done so many times, but, that was not the case, they kept skating and started taking penalties and Joey D. played his usual self and made 27 saves, uncluding 21 in the second half alone, securing a 3-2 win for us. The next game was the Sean Sullivan show scoring the first 3 goals and helping set up 2 others. Only one penalty called all game in the second game, kind of anti-climatic from the first game. The highlight of the night was Joeys stick save diving back across the net out of mid air to keep them from tying the game up.
After the game i drove up to watch the ISCA/Morristown games and they were two totally different games. The first game was about equal with morristown tying the game with 30 seconds left to force over time... in the 3 on 3 session the minutemen scored one for the win... the second game was all ISCA... Minutemen came out flat and ISCA got a fluke to start things out so that didn't help their cause... the final score was 5-1 (one being an empty netter) The games looked sloppy at times, but at other times both teams showed that they will be able to give anyone a good game... on another note nick benicasa was amazing in net for isca in game 2, turned away a bunch of flurries for the minutemen.
