A lot of great games this weekend? Anyone have any thoughts about what to expect. Predictions?

Prowlers vs Fire

I believe that the Prowlers will come out on top in both games. Fire lost Matt Olsen from last year and it will hurt them. However they did pick up PIHA all star Doug Fetz. Fire are no push over but I believe that the Prowlers speed will take control of the game. Prowlers are a deep squad filled with talent. This should be a very competitive 2 games. My prediction Game one Prowlers 4-3, game two Prowlers 5-4

Is Olson on a different team or is he gone from the league? How about Ryan Clemens? After having played against this kid I believe his team can beat anyone.

Olsen now plays with i believe the best team out here the Westminster Blizzard. Ryan still plays for the Fire and I agree he is a great goalie but I believe that the depth and speed of the Prowlers will prevail this Friday. I could be wrong but thats why we play the games. I am personally looking forward to playing against the Fire since I am friends with a few of them (Fetz, Goggin, Nolan) to name a few.

Connecticut at Philadelphia
The Growl will come out strong and be too much John Pinheiro and the Blaze. Pinheiro will score, but I think the Growl have too much depth compared to the Blaze. Growl 4 goal favorite in both games

Harrisburg at Feasterville
Harrisburg will coast through both games, too much talent and depth for Feasterville. Lunatics 6 goal favorite

NJ Minutemen at NJ Grizzzlies
This is the best matchup of the weekend. These teams will probably split the games this weekend. Grizzlies 1 goal favorite

Massachusetts at Boston
Boston is the one of the stronger teams in PIHA. Based on the fact that Boston won MLRH last year, and gave the Growl a good game in the Pre-Season. Boston 3 goal favorite

I dont know much about the teams in Colorado, so I cant make predictions on them.

Are the Blizzard really the best team in Colorado or are you just saying that for personal reasons? Hard to believe any team out there can match CJ and Brian, and the Blizzard were 4th of 5 teams in the division last season, but there is not shortage of talent throughout the division...

My predictions

Philadelphia vs Connecticut = I think the first game will be close, I think the Blaze come out suprise the Growl in the first game, the Growl will win the first game by close score, then win the second game easy.

Feasterville vs Harrisburg = I think the Lunatics will win both games, but I dont know much about the Feasterville team.

NJ Minutemen vs NJ Grizzlies = These are going to be very good games, players that know each other very well and have played against each other for years. I think the Grizzlies will win both games, but these games could go either way.

Massachusetts vs Boston = Boston seems to be the better team, but I dont know much and Massachusetts. I think Boston will win both games.

Yes the Blizzard is the best team in colorado by many peoples standards not just mine. they kept all their good players and added several big time players in the region such as matt olsen and nick vehanen not to mention a couple others that are fantastic players. As far as cj and brians thunder team, i believe that they will be fine but honestly the blizzard is creating the big stir out here.

i still find it hard to believe that the team with the 2 best players in CO is not the heavy favorites this season... but then again i was pretty shocked to see a team without CJ or Bri in finals last year too... so i guess anything can happen out there in the wild west

i am going out on a limb and selecting my picks based on the teams website. Better one sweeps the series....

1. Philly (this team could beat the flyers, but that's not really saying alot)
2. Daburg(300 goals for this year?any bets?)
3. grizzs(they just have a kicka$$ logo)
4. Bosox still suck!( manny to the phils for pat sounds good), but the rats don't
5. and my tie breaker goes to the team in the springs, because thats where I lived for so many years.Go prowlers! 4-2

its the Littleton Fire and the Pikes Peak Prowlers that play the first game of the piha season and should be voted on not the fire and blizzard they do not play each other for a while

FYI: "Da Burgh" = Pittsburgh. Not Harrisburg. Any other city attempting to steal said name will be fined and punished.

300 goals? that would be amazing, but i don't think even the lunatics could average 10 a game... defensive teams like the inferno wont let that happen, and for every time the score 5 they'd have to score 15... but that being said, they might put up 20 one someone before the end of the season...

Hey buddy... it was 17... and with the team we took out there it could have been worse, not exactly our full roster... probably the worst weekend of hockey i've ever been a part of... glad this season will be a lot different...

Im pretty sure I still hold the record for GA in a game..or so ive been told. I guess it is somewhat of a blessing that I dont remember. That was a pretty weak team we bought out there...probably would have even lost to the flyers:D
