Err.... ok?

Cal Poly SLO hasn't done anything too fantastic... they're a solid team in the middle of the standings in my book.

Chapman was 1-2-1 this weekend. Last weekend they were essentially 1-2, because they got a forfeit win, and their only true victory came against a Cal team that had been beat badly all day with a goalie wearing a 10 year olds' pads.

The real storylines are that UC Irvine seems to be for real, and Riverside CC went 0-3-1 in Santa Barbara, and the Div.1 WCRHL level of play seems to be as high as it's ever been.

did uc irvine get some more players. at nats they looked awsome but the bench was alittle short. some more players and they are a true contender.

They haven't gotten more than one or two new guys from last year, but they play that system of controlled puck movement that allows them to rest. I swear, they must have a better puck possession ratio then all but 1 or 2 teams in D1.

It's all a matter of how you play them though, they've messed up some pretty good teams like UC Davis and Riverside CC, while barely squeaking by some lesser teams, just by styles of play.

More questions about the WCRHL D1 scene will no doubt be answered after the tourney in Davis this weekend.
