Well, I think a start to this would have to be have every level involved in it, right from the grass roots, through the travel teams, to a Jr.A team and into a Pro team.

If it involves all these different people, it will have the support of the league. More support means more fans, more fans means more money, more money means better players and hockey, better hockey means yet again more fans! Wow, its a miracle, if this could happen I bet it would work. It would give the little ones something to look up to, they would go to the games, their parents would go, once they saw how good it was, they would get their friends to come, and so goes the chain reaction.

We have to remeber that the grass roots is where we'll get the most fans from, the young children who need role models. Just think about it, a 6 year old playing in a league, who is affiliated with lets say the St.Louis Vipers(Back in the RHI days) being able to see C.J. Yoder play, and being able to dream that once they reach the pinnacle of their careers they could possibly be playing for that team! Hey, I think this could be something to work with.

Also though, as has been mentioned before we need the right people running the teams, and league! Although, I disagree that they have to be recognizable figures in their society, such as pro athletes, and what not. I think they would have to be more so people that know how to run and orginization. I mean, how many people could name the VP of hockey opertaions for the Calgary Flames. My point is, as long as they know what they are doing, and they do it well, who cares if they are Wayne Gretzky, or your ordinary average Joe Blow off the streets, as long as the god gets done RIGHT!

Which brings me to my last point. This has to be done right. We need to build it up step by step untill it reaches the point it has to be. We can't just put together a pro league over night, its not possible! We need to let it grow. Start off with a solid foundation, say the Aniheim Mission Bulldogs, have their program run an elite level Jr. A team, as well as have all the other big name programs from around there do so as well, get that started, sooner or later, there will be the need for these players to grow and make the step to the next level! Thats when the Pro league will come into. But at first use the idea of NARHL and have a cash prize to the winner, and as time goes by and you get the support bring into account the cash that goes along with being a professional athlete!

I think that is how we should go about creating a pro league. The examples I used in this post were oned just off the top of my head, and programs from around the nation(s) should be doing the same thing! Sooner or later we'll have something the will be big!
