Growl/scrappers Tryouts

This is your chance to become a member of the 2007 Philadelphia Growl organization. On Saturday, September 30th the Flyers Skate Zone will be the venue for tryouts beginning at 2:30pm. The tryout will be to select players for the 2007 Voorhees Scrappers, the minor league affiliate of the Growl. There are also a few pro positions available and the tryout is your place to state your case to be a member of the two time defending champion Growl. Tryout cost is $25 for all returning minor league players and $40 for all new players. Please bring a light and dark jersey, with the same number.

Reminder that the one and only Growl/Scrappers tryout will be this Saturday, September 30th at Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ. Please bring a light and dark jersey and arrive ready to hit the rink for 2:30 pm.

I'd like to thank all those that attended our tryout yesterday. We had a tremendous turnout (over 35) and now have our hands full in picking a team. Thanks to our pro players who came out to help and best of luck to everyone as we narrow down the pool of players. We expect to announce a roster on Monday, Oct 16th once we return from Florida.

The Philadelphia Growl is moving up there roster announcement to Thursday, October 4th at 2:00 pm. We did not anticipate that we would be able to deliberate before the team left for the Disney Tournament this weekend, but thanks to everyone involved in the decision we were able to come to some very tough decisions and will make a formal announcement tomorrow at 2:00pm.
