Which division are the 422 Express going to play in? And what the hell is up with these new division names? Mason-Dixon division? Next year the Gateway division? Whats wrong with Mid-West, Mid-American, Atlantic, Central, etc...?

Jake,
Actually the Mason-Dixon division was the old division name for the PA/MD teams 2-3 years ago. After that, I don't think I need to turn this into American history lesson. :D

as far as i know thephia.com is the only website... if you look under teams, it shows the rocky mountain division, the growl and the roller rats in the northeast division, and then the lunatics, rollin robins and typhoon in the "mason-dixon" division"

thanks for the heads up frank-frank, didnt know that name was something that had already been in use. but i'm still not crazy about it...

as for the gateway division, if you look under "about piha" and then "piha staff" it shows the committees for all of the piha divisions, one of which is the gateway division. i would assume this is the name for what will be the missouri division next season...

I can share only what I know. The Mason Dixon division should have 8 teams including; Feasterville, Marple, Pottstown, York, Harrisburg, Richmond, Scottsdale, and Pittsburgh.

The Northeast; Growl, Minutemen, Grizzlies, Hartford FireAnts, Connecticut Blaze, Boston Roller Rats, Massachusetts Bombers.

As for the Gateway Division, I believe that this division will participate in the league this season. I'm not exactly sure, but there was talk about a group in Cincinatti being a part of that division.

As for why all of this is not on the website yet. The league has a strict policy of not officially posting information until it is 100%. I'm sure this means that these teams have not yet submitted paperwork or league fees. I'm fairly confident that all of these teams are in and just waiting to finish up tryouts as it is there main source of initial income.

thanks flynner for clearing that up... i heard about cincinatti being in the league in the "gateway division" as well, and i even heard that the pittsburgh teams might move to that division which would really suck for us... if there are 5 divisions including colorado and canada, how would the playoffs shape up? any guesses?

The Pittsburgh teams as far as I know are not moving to the Gateway Division. I know the Gateway division would be part of the Eastern Confernce, but I have no idea how the playoffs will work. I do suspect that the Eastern Conference finals will be there tho. I honestly have no idea how its going to work.

Charley is enroute to St Louis as we speak and we wil probably know more upon his return.
