I bought an Easton Synergy II at the local ice arena pro shop yesterday. I didn't even look at the shaft for its overall length as I was in a hurry. I got home and sized it against my two current shafts and it has a difference of 6 inches. If I took out the wood butt end it'll be around 3-4 inches to long.

I went back to the shop today and the guy said that the shaft comes in one standard size as it can be cut to size. I assumed this as Ive cut other shafts before but does cutting a shaft void the 30-45 day warranty?

Thanks.
