Well obviously a lot has changed since last season... new teams, new website, a new schedule, and a draft... Having new teams is obviously a great thing, especially in the areas they are coming from... the new website is lacking, but i guess it's still early for that... I'm more curious about the season schedule and this draft. The website says that the all-star game will be on dec. 1st and the finals will be in late march... this would be a huge change from last season when the all-star game was the first week in april and the finals were in the middle of june... is this info all true? are we going to play 1/2 to 2/3 of a season in october and november? or is the all-star game earlier in the season, which i dont really understand... maybe it has to do with the all-star being in colorado? and having to travel out there? dunno... as for the draft, i've heard that the idea isn't as radical as it sounds, and that it's shaped after junior hockey league drafts, where you're mostly selecting local players except in special situations... but i still think it might be a little early for the league to be taking it even that far when the league is adding new franchises at the rate that PIHA is and will be doing... My 2 dollars and 11 cents...

I think the Dec. 1 all-star game date is a mistake on the website. To my knowledge the season begins dec. 1

Thats what i was told as well... maybe the "finals" date from the website is the real all star date?

All Star game is in Colorado. Season starts December 1st, and will end on April 23rd, roughly.
Should be a good year in PIHA, especially with two new divisions.

The finals cant be on Memorial Day, because AAU has their disney tourny that weekend, but I could be wrong though.

That should be good for PIHA, the younger kids will get to see the games, maybe help the league grow in the south.

Those dates make a lot more sense... would be nice if maybe someone told the webmaster... no comments on the draft? i heard the pittsburgh bandits are taking evgeni malkin with the first overall pick...

Correct... the season will start Dec 1 and run til mid april. Playoffs finalized by the 2nd weekend in May and finals on memorial day weekend at a "special location"
