With USAHIL Nationals right around the corner, I'd like to bring to everyone's attention the high school division offered. Last year, I participated with my team (Montgomery High School, NJ - 2nd place in the 2006 state public school tournament) and we had a blast. Most of the guys were skating on roller for the first time, so the skill was clearly "Silver" or "B" by normal tournament standards.
The problem was that we only played 2 other teams and it was one division. The tournament was great and really gave the ice guys an appreciation for roller hockey.
So for anyone who has even the slightest interest about hockey within their school should try to get into this tournament and help high school roller hockey grow! I'd like to challenge everyone that enough teams enter that they can have a quality JV and Varsity tournament, rather than 1 three team division.
