I just read the press release and note that the two coaches for Team USA at the IIHF inline championships list all ice hockey experience without any inline. Sort of a summer gig thing.

Curious to know why USA does this. There's a lot of experienced coaches with solid inline credentials and I would think that not only should the players be solid roller guys but most importantly, the coaches should also.

This is one time where the cliche, "hockey is hockey" is not in play.

Aren't most of the players from ice backgrounds too? They used to be (2-3 years ago)
