I am thirteen years old and have just started playing inline this year. (so far i have been having SO much fun!) I can pass and shoot ok, but my skating needs work. I can skate reasonably well both forwards and backwards, but it needs to be A LOT faster. Can anyone give me any tips? Thanx
Peace

the best thing i can say is time. skate every day and it will all work out
you can not just learn
you have to master the game to be the best

Remember to keep your knees bent, so your not standing straight upright. When skating forwards take longer strides to help move you along quicker. As for skating backwards it just takes alot of practise like morrisville said.

A good way to get faster is too wear weights on your legs like in exercise videos when you practice and take em off when you play....If you wear em 3-4 times a week while you practice, you'll notice the difference immediatly

Just be careful about the weights. You can pull your femur out of your hip socket depending on your physical make up.
