Pittsburg, here we come

I'm quite sure that both the Minutemen and us, the Growl, would both rather play closer to home. Since my team finished in first place, I feel we should have the home rink advantage all through the playoffs, until the championship game, if we get that far. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Our fans will not be given the opportunity of seeing how our season unfolds, and we will now take a 5 hour bus ride with our rivals to play each other on a foreign rink, in front of fans with no connection to either team. I guess these are some of the growing pains of a young league. I hope this bus has a dvd player. I will bring the appropriate movies : Slap Shot, The Sting, Raging Bull, and so on. Flynn always asks me to bring the movie Powder, which is his documentary, but I always decline. If anyone else has any request, just let me know. Havelock, bring your flip flops, I think this bus has a bathroom...lol

we are not necessarily taking a bus jimmy... if the league will agree to move the minor championship to marple on june 3rd we will be back to plan A. besides im not sure if we've maxed out abe's credit limit.

The league has moved the minor final to Marple on the weekend of the Pro championship. Therefor we will not be busing to pittsburgh. We are however looking into renting a van for our players who want to group travel to keep costs down. Contact me or mark.

I was hoping that would go unnoticed. My wife actually was the first one to point that out to me. I told her that with the group of intellects we have on this board, there is no way anyone would point it out. I thought Yokes was going to say something about it yesterday, when he was grading my other post, but he didn't. I guess I'm starting to see why Harvard didn't come knocking on my door after high school was over. Good job Jake, you got me. I look forward to seeing you in PITTSBURGH for the playoffs. Make sure you get a good seat in the crowd...lol
