The IceDogs(us) and Scrappers of Feasterville are in the Minor League Finals.
Both of our teams won the first 2 games out of the 3 game series today.
Next weekend it will be the championship which is held at the home of the bandits in Pittsburgh.
I hope something can be worked out so that our 2 teams don't have to drive to Pittsburgh to play each other when we have a rink in Feasterville.
It will be a good series.
Post your predictions.

agreed, plus a couple of impact people cant make it on either team if it is in Pittsburgh.
The goalie for the Scrappers and the leading scorer for the Dogs are both unavilable for next weekend if its in Pittsburgh
Anyhow this minor league championship shows why the Growl Organization is one of the best if not the best in PIHA. Two extremely strong minor teams with one great pro team.
Keep up the good work Anthony and Mark with the organization, you guys are great.

the minor league success this weekend had nothing to do with mark and I. the congrats need to go where it belongs... to our players who all weekend over came adversity. We dealty with crazy schedules and many changes to it. Both of our teams were short a few important players, particularly the scrappers who were short about 5 players, but came through and beat the undefeated bandits. Great job to you guys you deserve it.

It's my understanding that the Bandits were missing there goaltender and had to fill in with a skater that had never play in goal before.
Anthony can you please elaborate on why you move from playing games at Feasterville, there are a lot of rumors floating around about why the games were moved.
My team lost to the dogs, but we seen the game with the Scrapper & Bandits today and it was not the same team with them missing their goaltender as I am sure that it would have an adverse effect on any team. not taking any thing away from the Scrappers they are a good bunch of guys, just stating my opinion.

yes, but there would be no organization with out you two, you started it, we just have to finish it.
Once again a special thanks goes out to you two, you two are the leaders of the organization.

You can find out what happen somewhere on this forum, it was said to be rumors before and Anthony cleared all the rumors up and explained what had happened. The Growl Organization finished off their season playing out of the great facility, Flyers Skatezone-Vorhees. I am not sure what is going to happen next season, but I hope I can continue to be a part of the Growl organization.
Here is the link to what exactly happened

Since i don't think anyone is on here who represents the bandits, ill tell the story from their point of view as best as i know... yes the bandits played both games with a player in net who was not a goalie and had never played goalie. The fact that they lost both games by only 2 goals shows how talented of a team they, and that at full strength, they can beat any team in the minor division. The fact that their goalie was not at the games is the fault of no one but his own. The story of why he wasnt there is not important, but he did attempt to make the drive, but for various reasons, didn't arrive at the rink until after both games were over. It was unfortunate that the bandits did not have their backup goalie available to them, because he was actually playing for my team, the phantoms, in a torhs regional back in pittsburgh. That is the story as i was told. I'm sure the scrappers are a good team, i have seen parts of their games this season, but i have no doubt that if the bandits had their regular goalie, they would be playing in the finals this coming weekend. This isn't to be taken as an excuse, and as far as i know the bandits haven't tried to make any excuses for their goalies failure to be at the games. Good luck to both teams in the minor league finals.

I believe the first game the bandits would of won, but not the second game, they only scored 2 goals that is not really enough goals to win a roller hockey game so I think it would of went to a third game and that could be up for debate. It could of really went either way, but like you said it was the goalies fault for not being there.

I disagree with this completely. In both games the Bandits could not score 4 on 4. In the first game they only scored 2 goals until they decided to pull their goaltender with 6 minutes to go. Their skill showed, as they controled the puck well, but eventually you are going to get scored on with that strategy. In the second game they could not score at all until they used this same strategy with under a minute to go. I don't care who your goalie is, but if you can't score you arn't going to win. Additionally from the Scrappers point of view... they were missing roughly 5 players, including nick asterito who is one of the league's top players. Both of our minor teams and I'm sure several of the others had to deal with missing people or atleast had to deal with the weekend's continously changing schedule. It's not my objective to discredit the Bandits, but perhaps why we beat them was because we didnt surcome to the hype about them. Our pro team doesn't come on here dishing out excuses when we lose, nor will we if we lose in the upcoming playoffs. Good luck to the bandits and everyone else in the future.
