Yesterday were two of the most competitive games that we have played all season. We had everyone minus Johnny P, so we were bascially at full strength, and even had joey in goal for a game. They played as hard as they could and let us know that next week would not be a walk in the park for us. That being said, i think that the difference from making the games blowouts was the minutement goaltender, Eric Namowicz.
This kid let up NO soft goals at all and only let in the prime scoring opportunites that any goalie in the league would let up. While we won both games yesterday, he was not the reason. We outshot the MM 26-10 in the second game and barely won a tightly played 6-3 game, after being down 2-0 real early in the game and then only being up 4-3 with 5 minutes left. He has given us trouble all year, so hopefully the MM will start one of thier other goalies next weekend!! I have been boys with Eric for a long time now and it's good to see he's finally getting the playing time he deserves!! can't wait for playoffs next weekend!! too bad we can't switch the venue up!

You guys have a great squad and took advantage of every mistake we made. Congrats on your wins, hopefully we can clean up things a bit next week. Is Johnny P still playing with you guys ? I agree on the venue issue ! Is there any possible the venue can be changed, even if it meant pushing the games back a week ???
P.S. Can someone who works on the PIHA website change something on the scoresheet from game #2. I had 2 goals in the game and they were given to Dom D, a player who quit our team and doesn't deserve the recognition. Thanks

Justin...
I apologize for the error... it was my fault. Yesterday was so damn long between traveling back and forth to york and voorhees that by time i was entering the sheets i swear i was brain dead. I cant fix the score sheet, but i did make the adjustments to his and your stats. Joey D'Aloisio sent me an email earlier and I fixed it then. Sorry bout that, good game to you guys.

No sweat ! I understand you had a real busy day yesterday. Any chance something can be done about the playoff venue ? Again, congrats on the wins.

Good looking out D'Aloisio. I guess that was the least you could do after gloving me and beating me in that wild race for the puck.

Hey Bill, thanks for givin' Namo the recognition . . . I've never seen him play the way he did at the end of that 2nd game. He was phenomenal... Great games you guys played, and like Guz said, you were able to capitalize off of every mistake we made. Next weekend should be a lot of fun and some real good hockey . . .sadly we'll both be driving 5 hours to play it!
Good Luck Next Weekend . . .and Flynner good luck with the Minor league championships as well!
-Also Flyers Skate Zone is a great facility . . .I hope that place is the permanent home for you guys.

hey man, yeah that drive is awful, seems dumb for us to go out there when we are about 70 mile s away from each other and the Lunatics and Typhoon are about 15 miles apart... doesnt make sense... as for us capitalizing on mistakes, i just think it comes down to a deeper bench, and this is not a comment to make fun and put you guys down, its just an opinion i have based on the experience of the players on the benches of both our teams, i just think in the end we have more experience, not skill, to get the job done... and if that's not enough we are lucky enough to have Joey D. between the pipes haha
I move for the playoff venue to be changed!! i don't even know if i can make it out there now for saturday! between hotels and gas its going to be a hundred a person!

Now that we have to transport 3 teams worth to pitt on saturday we are looking into busing out there. If the Mmen go with us as well I think we can keep the price down to about $40 a guy for a nice bus. It will limit the number of guests we can have because the buses only take about 55 people but I will be in touch with all of our players plus ill communicate with the mmen as well.
