I think he is referring to the PIHA announcement for a North East Division. That along with the rumors that the teams based in the New England areas that currently play in MLRH will be jumping ship to PIHA for next year.

I played in the MLRH this year, and yes teams are leaving the league for PIHA which just shows that they have no loyalty. I know that MLRH isnt run as well as it should (as does anyone who played in it before) but personally I am sticking with MLRH till its gone or you never know till it heads in the right direction. The MLRH will be back next season with some new teams both up north and down south.

I appreciate loyalty, but in all honesty what is best for the sport is ONE true league that serves the needs of everyone and shows signs of improvement and continued growth. Though I will be the first to openly voice my loyalty to PIHA, had Major League stepped up and become the clear better league, I would have moved the Growl to MLRH.

Either way this cant be a suprise to anyone, can it?...Loyality is great, but there is also a time when you need to be smart and look whats best all around rather than remaining loyal...MLRH goes through this year in and year out every single year for at least the past 5 years there has been some sort of drama...I will agree it is not all MLRH ownerships fault nor is it a single teams fault, it is a combonation of both which has doomed MLRH for years..If teams would join the PIHA, then the PIHA break off into geographical divisions(say a west and east coast confrence, and then have maybe 4 diffrent divisions within those confrences) which makes travel easier and closer, rather than having some teams making long long road trips every other weekend, you would get better turn outs player wise for games and so on...Needless to say their needs to be ONE "pro" league with strong responsiable ownership, that is organized and the sport would have a chance to progress more...Im sure MLRH "loyalist" will argue this post till their faces turn blue, thats fine just dont pass out...MLRH has seen its best days pass by and now its time to start something fresh and see how it works out....

We have been hearing this for almost a decade yet nothing has ever changed. Anytime teams or people come in who can help the league grow, Raue drives them out. The league has always preached "baby steps" yet nothing has ever changed. It's still a bunch of low level NARCh teams at best driving to other cities to play. This is a glorified house league that has been passed off as elite for way too long.
PIHA is far more professional, better run and is gaining money to help it grow. MLRH is just treading water on the cheap expansion fees and what not. Any player who actually wants to get to the next level plays NARCh, PIHA or NCRHA. Those players use MLRH as free floor time between games with those programs and leagues.
The only people who push loyalty with this league are people who aren't good enough to get to the next level and badmouth those who are good enough.
MLRH is never going to change and the best thing for the sport is it's demise, especially with PIHA rising so much higher. PIHA is elite, (by the current state of the sport's standards,) and MLRH is clearly not and this isn't going to ever change.

I will say most of your post are way harsh and seems like you have some personal thing aganist MLRH, but either way you do actully make some good points here and there even if people dont want to except what your saying...I think MLRH is just what you said a "glorified house league" and any player with talent enough to play PIHA should defiantly jump ship now and get on board with them if they want to see the so called "pro" game progress...I do still have a problem calling these guys "pro's" when they are not making a actual pay check? Free wheels, gloves, skates, etc does not make you "pro" guys, thats called adveritsing or rather billboards on wheels...But either way they can call themselves what they want I just want to see some high level inline hockey worth watching and I think the PIHA is moving towards that....

Ok well first i just want to say is that by loyalty i meant that teams should have the decency to finish a season that they started. Leaving mid-way even if there were problems just causes more. I agree that PIHA is more professional...Anyone who has seen both leagues play would agree. I realize that PIHA is on its way to becoming a true "professional" league (paying ect.) I am actually starting to realize alot about Bill Raue and how he wants total control over the league. I offered to help him out next season with one of the teams (making a FULL schedule among other things) and to this point there has still been no response from him.

I agree with everyones posts ( I didnt read Coach Chris's however cause I know where he stands ). MLRH is not living up to my expectations. I love the Hitting and the fighting, its that simple. I think as adults playing, there should be some rough stuff allowed and if you wanna throw down with someone, by all means, go for it. This isnt a shot at PIHA either, because I know it can get rough in the corners in any league. When you flat out say, no hitting, no fighting, it takes away from the appeal of the game as it was meant to be watched. I am loyal to MLRH at this point, but I have not and will not commit to another year of geting your schdule the week before and having your game cancelled 2 days before. I know it is not 100% Bill's fault, cause even we were guilty of cancelling a game, but if this was organized NOW rather then in November, we would be ahead of the game rather then along side of it.
PIHA has a wealth of tallent. I am hopeing that Charlotte has both teams next season. I love hitting but cant take another MLRH season like 05-06. You know its bad when your actually greatful to see the season end of a sport you truly love.
Bling, Im only Blue in the top 1/2 of my face, and its from my visor !!!!

i jumped ship to PIHA and have been called every name in the book by you guessed it, those players I left behind that probably won't be able to make the jump. I've played a few PIHA games now and I'll say this, the league is 1000 times better.

No fighting, but there is plenty of hitting along the boards; 99% clean hits vs MLRH's 50%.

I've never played mlrh, but i wouldn't mind seeing fighting a little more tollerated in piha. maybe just done for the rest of the game instead of suspensions. And while it is non check it's not non contact. most of our games this year were pretty rough. nothing too dirty or out of hand, but plenty of contact. most ref's let a a lot of it go.

50%.... I think you are giving too much credit, I would say 25% at best. 50% if you count when you go around a guy and he tried to go knee to knee!!
