Likewise from everyone on the Growl. If you need a surgeon, please feel free to get in touch with me. Dr. Louis C. Rose is regarded by his peers as one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the country, and he is a very close friend of mine. Good luck, and a speedy recovery.

I'm not sure if it will need surgery. I think he was gonna find out today or tomorrow. I'm gonna get a hold of him tomorrow to find out. they put a splint on it at the hospital gave him some pain killers and let me take him home. we got back to his house at 5:00am. it was a long night. if he doesn't post in a day or two i will let everyone know how he is doing.

Dave has a great heart, and few love PIHA more than this guy. I know his heart has to be broken not to be playing now. It was an unfortunate accident, one Im sure that was simply unavoidable, and I know that Dave will come back from this with his wheels turning hard. All of us on the Lunatics and I think I can speak on behalf of everyone in PIHA, were praying for your pain to be as slight as possible.

Best wishes and a speedy recovery, I hate being injured. Damn physical sports, wish I could quit, but hockey is like crack, only it wont kill you ( hopefully ) !!!

Surgery went well I guess. Got a plate put in. The break was bad right at the joint. Doctor said it should heel fine. Dont know if there will be any limited motion. Go back on the 19th for checkup, stitches out and a cast. Will find out then how long I will be out for. Theres alot of pain but getting less everyday.

Special thanks to Hartman,Conrad and House for looking out and getting me home. I owe you guys big time. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and concerns, phone calls,MYSPACE messages and Internet articles.(Was hoping to get some internet hype..but didnt think it was gona take a broken arm to get it! LoL

Hope to be back around the rink after my first checkup and continue to be part of the Lunatics as much as I am able to.

Thank You
Dave Stauffer #22

Went to doctors today and the cast is off!!!!!!!!!!! Start therapy on Monday. My next check up with doctor is after some therapy, June 28th. They checked my range of motion before I left and I had very little. My working on it and therapy will determine if I get all my motion back or not. Good news is I will skate out again and not have to make a move to goalie!

The big question that everyone ask is "When can you play again?". Well Im not in a hurry to get back. The therapist did say if I wanted to probley in about 6 week.

Thank again for everyones support! I'll leave updates as things progress.

glad to see it's coming along good. that scar should look good too when it heals. although i swear you are at the rink more now then you were when you were playing.
