PIHA schedule

I was just wondering if the rest of the PIHA schedule is 100% accurate. Reason I ask is because my team (Minutemen) have a 40 day break between games starting in mid March, but then our first weekend back playing in late April, we have 8 games in a 3 day stretch. It could be accurate, but it seems strange.

Looks right to me. The obvious answer is to tell you that you should consult with Silvia or Havelock. However I know for a fact that the games on April 21 & 22nd are correct. I will say that the Minutemen were not at the scheduling meeting and that fact probably caused the month off. With everyone else scheduled the MM probably had to take whatever was available with the other teams already with full schedules. Again it all looks right to me.

Why is this even a topic on a public message board?

You're obviously a member of the team ("my team"). So why don't you ask your organization whether the schedule is correct?

Sorry SpeedRacer, I didn't think it would offend anybody. I couldn't reach Silvia when I tried to call him about it so posted knowing that I would get an answer rather quickly. It wasn't a complaint, I was just curious.

we(the lunatics) had our first game of the season on Januray 14th. then we were in morristown for 4 games on febuary 4th. we haven't played since. our next game is next weekend. so i think all teams at some point have a long break.

Ya what he said... we Phantoms have about 4 weeks off to end the season... looks like everyone has a break somewhere...

i would rather play once a weekend spread out over that break and not have so many multiple game weekends at the end of the season but whatever. i'm just happy that our break is over. from here on out we have a ton of games.

Scheduling is not as easy as everyone thinks. There is a ton of factors involved. Travel is usually the number one priority and the reason that many of the teams have bunched up games. I'm sure everyone would rather take one long 6 hour trip and have 4 games together then spread them out and make the trip more then once. This formula was usued pretty wide spread through out the league diring the scheduling meeting this year.

yeah, we have made our 2 trips to richmond but i much rather would have made a weekend out of it. that wasn't available, but it would have been nice to make one trip. all hockey players know road trips are the best! we had a month off in one stretch and now play a bunch of games coming up. scheduling is tough...but at least there is a schedule out and not many changes have been made to it.
