Looks to be another interesting Olympics in the world of hockey. USA tied with Latvia, Slovakia over Russia... This should be a good one to watch the whole way through.
My only gripe... Who the heck came up with these uniforms?!?! Instead of your normal big burly players, you've got a bunch of guys that look like stick figures! (I mean Pronger already was a stick... but ya know.) Alight, hold your Brokeback jokes on this one... I'm not a fashion guru, but vertical stripes on the socks and jerseys??? *shakes head* Why the heck do people mess with a good thing. Hockey players aren't suppose to look metro-sexual on the ice.
Sorry, had to rant... it's been bugging me.

the sorta-lycra-like material is interesting, but I, too, abhor (yeah, I know, who're you callin' an 'abhor.') the vertical striping...

Did these things come from some lost segment of Bravo Channel's designer show?

actually, gang, this is just another insinuation of the Nike people into something they don't care about, except the component from which they can make money.

try to buy these new uniforms anytime soon, you'll see what I mean...

Brokeback hockey at its best...lol The new uniforms are terriable...But Im sure NIKE is getting theirs out of it..You can only buy Replicas right now and they are just plain old bulky jeresys with the same logos and stripes...Not the figure skating style...

I have a feeling this is what we may be seeing in the NHL in the near future. Someone was telling me the NHL was considering uniform changes. I hope it does not go to the look in the Olympics.

Seriously... the big baggy jerseys and whatnot are kind of the trademark of ice hockey. What next... basketball teams with shorty shorts and waist high jerseys?! Oh Wait, that'd be considered "retro." Good Grief...

nike has rights to almost nothing. Only IIHF Hockey. RBK has rights to everything else (nhl/nfl/nba etc.)...
Have you seen the new nhl practice jerseys by rbk? They look better than the traditional game jerseys... Since they're run by CCM they should always have good looking uni's...

That is one thing i have to give reebok credit for is that they are not doing what nike did during the 90's. Try to make everything the way they want it. Hockey has its traditional unifrom and they should leave it that way. The only thing that might change is the material they are made of.
