great physical game this afternoon!! Conn got the best of us winning 5-2, game could have gone either way, we hit posts at the end of the game, both goalies played really well, esp perry robbing a 4 on 1 back door play... will be a good rivalry in the MLRH North
For Conn Kull had 3 and 2 i believe and carmello had 2 and 2
FOr ny, i had 1 and 1 and troholidays had a goal
Goalies - NY - costa - 29 saves
Conn - perry - 28 saves
reffing was sub-par for both teams

I heard the game was called with two or three minutes left. True?

yes you heard correctly the game was called with about 2:30 left... it had gotten out of control, both teams were frustrated with the officiating... the officials did not determine the outcome of the game, but someone could have gotten seriously injured with what was going on... they just did not want to be there, which is what they were saying all game, i guess because of the inch of snow we had got? i don't know... but anyways was a good hard hitting game and i for one can't wait to play them again.

the ref's claimed they were threatened or felt they were being threatened so they called the game. It wasn't much better then the officiating the night before in the marple/hartford game.
def looking forward to the rockers vs thunder rematch though.

and for the record it was Marcin Nierada that played "drop the gloves" with guisto, for some reason on the MLRH site it says it was me. just thought i would clear that up.

Interesting. In inline, 3 goals in less than 2 minutes is very possible. Especially with the guys the New York team has.

yeah i agree our team is capable of scoring 3 goals in that time, we had some momentum too, hit like 2 posts within 2 minutes or so... it's not big deal though, it was a good game, Conn got the best of us, both teams played a hard hitting game. Goaltending was great on both ends. The competition is definitely a few notches above last year. NY vs Glads in 2 weeks will be another good game.

It sucks anytime a game has to be called...its a crazy game we play and I've seen 5 goals get scored in that period of time. Now before anybody jumps on me here...I WAS NOT AT THE NY VS. THUNDER GAME and I'm not trying to say the refs were the problem in this game but I really believe the league should be sending neutral (Qualified) refs to call our games. I'm not a big fan of the home team supplying the refs. Just playing at home is an advantage enough.

agreed... they were not favoring Conn, there were bad calls both ways, at one point we had about 10 guys on the floor for a bad line change, and Conn ended up in the box we scored on the PP. Then they two handed a player so hard on the wrists he fell down in the slot on defense, and they scored. It was bad both ways, i think anyone from Conn may agree... i thought it was neutral refs that came to the game?
