Well I'm happy to see alotta people came back on this post. But my question to everyone that plays is this. Do we sit back and wait for something to happen amongst these owners? Or do we, as the people that make this sports exsistance, try to do something about it? I mean yes I understand the fact that guys with money that want things their way, don't want to be in partnership with someone who wants things a different way, thus they go off on their own. But for the most part, this hurts our game, because peoples conception of what is the true ''pro'' league becomes skewed when there are several out there. Combining the leagues is a great idea, and screw the two different styles of hockey. . . hitting is hitting and I say let it fly! There won't be as many people hot dogging with their heads down if hitting was legal, which in turn forces a team to REALLY play as a team, cause they can't always rely on one player to beat everyone. Lemme know what you guys think, because if all of the players come together to make Pro Roller Hockey what it should be, then theres no stopping us . . .period.

Players don't really have the cash to splash (or risk heavily as the case maybe). It is a players game but I certainly wouldn't plough any money into a Roller league... would any of you?
As I ranted on an earlier post the only way roller will become "one sport" is when it is controlled from the top by one organisation, like the FIFA in Football (Soccer to you philistienes.. Wolves89 is my spelling Ok there dude? Please check cos I'll be heart broken again if it isn't).
I fear we are all far too down the road, world wide, to turn this around. The only folkes who can do it is IIHF, but you only have to look how many different world championships there are to see that even they can't achieve this.
It's a lost cause guys. Just play what you can, where you can, know one will ever get paid big bucks to play roller, we'll all still have to have "real" jobs. So lets just get on with it and play some hockey cos it beats sitting at home watching the TV.

Joy,
maybe some of us left coasters need to head over to the east coast for a tournament and a few games against some of the PIHA/MLRH teams. My team not NARCh "PRO" level, but we have been kicking around the idea of going back for memorial day weekend and seeing if we can play the TORHS tournament and possibly a game or two against the PIHA teams. You Saxons should think about. You got a class group up there and probably represent us better than they cocky Elite Players did.

With popularity in Sacramento and Southern California, would anyone be game to the idea of a WRHL (Western Roller Hockey League)? I work at a small arena in the Portland area that'd be perfect to start out with. Plenty of room for fans, close to teh action and just an all-around nice facility. Does anyone think this could happen and where would the teams be?

we definately should. it would be a good idea to send some of the west coast teams back to see how PIHA is run first hand and kind of bridge the gap.

what we need is people in different regions to take charge in an area and get with Charlie. It's a shame it took CJ moving to Colorado to get our first real expansion going, but hopefully other areas will follow. The West coast guys need a leader and need to contact Charlie about 2007. It's not to early to start taking action. This could all tie into the exhibition game ideas also discussed.
agreed. we could set up a weekend exhibition type thing if the cali guys come out. i surely wouldn't have a problem with us coming down to you guys for a weekend and doing a little tourney type thing. whiskey tango is calling my name anyway. :)
