Hi All;
Yup, still around lurking and still haven't closed on my darn house after 3 months. <sigh>
Myself and the Refs made a 4 hr trip to the Eastern Conference MLRH-AAA Final game last night at Marple Sports Arena. I have some comments. First, this post is NOT about the MLRH itself, and PatriotsHockey-please leave your negative comments out of this thread, we already know your story.
With that said, I'd just like to comment on Marple Sports Arena itself and last night's event:
I have been to dozens and dozens of hockey facilities and tournements, games, etc but this was my first experience at that facility. I was happily impressed. I thought the Marple Sports Arena really put on a great 'show' last night. I was most impressed by the way they catered to the children during the half-time. The staff was organized and they had someone doing a little part of everything; they had face-painting for the children, a girl to sing the National Anthem, an announcer with a great voice, music, 2 timekeepers, and a clean-up crew, just to mention a few. The atmosphere was exciting and Management was curtious.
I don't care to hear in this thread what many of you think of the MLRH itself, the teams, staff or Mr. Raue, nor have I commented myself. My only point being is that it was a great experience at Marple last night and worth the 4 hr drive, even though one team <uhum> was very unexpectedly pounded. Sorry Scorps....but I still love yas!
