Happy Hockey new Year to everybody, especially our girl players and coaches...
This new hockey year, I am dedicating my efforts as a coach and administrator to developing the inline girls' side of the house...
I am going to recruit from the elementary school level upwards. The goal is to have a girls' division of local recreation league play in every youth age group before January 1.
Today, for the first time in a long time, we divided our 8's players as girls vs. boys for a rec game this afternoon...the girls won 7-6, with 24.7 seconds left. Very exciting.
The Nations-Tobin Polar Bears invite all coaches and league administrators to expand their girls' programs. We are pointing toward participation in the NARRCh Winternationals, the USAHIL youth regionals, and the USAHIL youth nationals, with a team entered in each age division.
We pledge that if you get a team to the USAHIL nationals, they will have an opponent to play against.
We will have fun. We hope to see you all out on the blue floor soon.
