I think it starts at the International Level

I have been reading your posts and I agree that we need to get TV involved in promoting the sport. However, I think that it should start at the International Level with the World Championships (both FIRS and IIHF are combining the Worlds next year, Good opportunity). The IIHF Inline Worlds used to be televised but they haven't been the past couple years.
I personally think that this sports highest stage is International Competition, since there are no pro leagues right now. NARCH is a great tournament, and it is very successfull, but I think that we need to promote our efforts to the Worlds, and hopefully it can be a building block to get NARCH and the USACRS and USA Inline Nationals Championships televised. Or I could be wrong. NARCH and other Nationals could be the building block to get the Worlds televised.

Has anyone contacted NARCh? What did they say? These are all great ideas but has anyone contacted NARCh? Has anyone from NARCh read the board?

Another element that the game needs for growth is a printed publication. If one already exists someone TELL ME.

I agree that both should have a lot of effort put into it. Like I said, maybe one could be the building block for the other.
I don't think anyone from NARCH has been notified, not to my knowledge.
There use to be a publication called Roller Hockey Magazine, but that ended in 1998. Richard Graham use to write articles for them (bless his heart)
American Hockey Magazine has a little section for roller but not a whole lot.
It would be good to have another publication like Roller Hockey magazine in the industry again. I think it would help.

Yes Narch actually contacted me after my original post and is very optimistic about this ground swell taking place at this message board so I can tell you for a fact they are reading and listening so keep it coming with the positive thoughts and Ideas on this board.

I really like your idea to put the worlds on tv! I think it could work. But with NARCh I was basically only talking about NARCh Pro, and maybe a little D-1...well, just that for the first couple of years!
But the worlds would be great. They have been on tv before, and I can say that I watched them when ever they were played! I mean I think that inline could get better ratings than some of the other sports if it was produced well enough. From what I saw on tv it was one of the more exciting sports I have watched being played.

I think that if we got any HIGH calibre inline tournament televised it would make a world or difference in inline hockey...and probably help get rid of the PBH thoughts some people have of our great sport!
