I played in a game last night where at the start of the second period the opposition goalie chose to come to the centre and take the face off. At this point the score was 2 - 0 in their favor. I saw this as blatant arrogance, and thought it was extremely disrespectful. I just wanted to get some other oppinions on this, and see if I'm not the only one who feels this way.

At only 2-0 that is ballsy!! I like to come out and play the puck but that is ridiculous! I would hope someone took a shot at him.

If you dont hit me im not stopping it.

a goaltender is not permitted to take a faceoff due to his/her equipment. Who allowed this and what stick was used to do this? Ice hockey officials know this and it can be found in a situations manual.

yokes, correct me if i'm wrong, but I think you meant bumbing or throwing an elbow or punch.

Yea i meant more along the lines of someone running him over after a slow dumb on him, someone getting there just as the puck arrives. A few wacks after the whistle and such. But putting a few behind him will def. bother him also.

If you dont hit me im not stopping it.

If there is a god you would have won that game and rubbed it in the cocky SOB's face.

Did you win?
