Hi Yokes,

Do what Roger does; 12-ounce curls while reading intellectual reading material such as "Goaltending for Dummies." /wtimages/icons/wink.gif

That works great for me but the kid im working with isnt old enough yet so ill have to take care of his share of them. Im a little worried because we havent heard from him, and that in itself is a rarity.

What in particular?

I know of a bunch of things such as slideboards, different types of pucks, etc. There's also plenty of dryland training materials for things such as plyometrics.

Really depends on what you're looking for.

Nice try Rich, I didn't read "Goaltending for Dummies", I bought the cassette and I listen to it in my car on the way to the bar, I mean rink. Yokes, don't worry about the drills. I always say it's how you look, not how you play. Get those Reeboks you want and you'll at least look like a good tender. Make a few flashy saves with the glove and smile for the cameras. That was chapter three by the way Rich. LOL

Blah Blah Blah, Shoot the puck already

Hey Roger,

Sorry to have overestimated your dedication. It will not happen again. /wtimages/icons/wink.gif

Thanks for taking all the jibes with a grin; no harm meant!

Excuse me while I get back to "Editing for Idiots."

Get a medicine ball...it's pretty much all you need for a very specific and great home work out. Some exercises you could do are:

- situps, it's all about core stability and abs
- lunges
- side to side strides
- push ups
- straight throws (like a bench press)
- ball toss (I can explain if interested, the best one for side strength)
- etc, etc, etc

About 5-6 years ago our teams personal trainer got me onto these types of exercises. You can literally do hundreds of variations that are similar to using weights, only this is better for you. Most pros that I train with do a ton of medicine ball work.

Best part is they are cheap, heavy and store in the closet. My personal favoriate are the abs while watching Sportscenter :-)

I can go into detail if your interested.

Shoot, score, then celebrate...followed by an appology for the pass you didn't make.

Yokes,

Give futurepro.com a shot. They have a lot of training materials there that will help.

You can also try the goalie store bulletin board at http://www.goaliestore.com.
