The inaugural issue (Vol. 1, No. 1) of ?Rinkside ? In Line Edition?, the e-newsletter of Hockey Alberta In Line (HAIL), was published in March 2005. This first issue provided a complete overview of HAIL various programs for athletes, coaches, officials, and league administrators as well as the nature of the game and value to ice hockey players.
The second issue (Vol. 1, No. 2) in 2005 was published in June. The second issue features an update on HAIL?s High Performance Program (i.e., Team Alberta?s participation in the 2005 USA Hockey InLine National Junior Festival and the 2005 Canada West Cup) and club team tournaments. The second issue was coordinated by Danielle Chicoine, a practicum student with Hockey Alberta.
Both issues are readily available for downloading from the National Inline Hockey Association-Canada website (http://www.niha.ca). See News Releases NR05-08 (March 2005 issue) and NR05-13 (June 2005 issue).
