Pro Roller Hockey Info

Could someone please give me info on diffrent leagues

what was/is the....
-RHI Roller Hockey International
-MLRH Major League Roller Hockey
-PIHA Professional Inline Hockey Association
-XIHL eXtreme Inline Hockey League

I would like to know is any of these Leagues were actully pro or not. Thank you

Hi Ryan,

Roller Hockey International was a professional league that ran from 1993-1999, with a one-year hiatus in 1998.

Major League Roller Hockey was a pro league in 1998, taking advantage of RHI's hiatus year, and even scooping up RHI's two-time champion Anaheim Bullfrogs.

I do not believe that the Professional Inline Hockey Association actually pays its players.

The eXtreme Inline Hockey League never got off the ground.

Pro Beach Rollerhockey was a made-for-TV event -- you can do an IHC search to find more details.

The Inline Hockey Association (formerly The Elite League) does pay its players and will come back for a second season (first as the IHA) this summer.

There's lots more details, and more leagues, but I'll leave it up to IHC's readers to fill in the blanks, should they feel like it.

There will be an RHI Reunion this summer, on Saturday, August 20, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. I will be releasing more details on that event soon. Should be a lot of fun!

Actually, you're right, but I was talking about an earlier version that was kicked around about five years ago -- not the XIHL version that Benny Gulakiw put together.
