Since I got my new Beemer skates in Feb. I've gone through the Dynasty's that came with them. I then bought a set of RR Hornets (the green ones) I basically over 6 weeks pulled the wheels off the hubs, my local shop gave me a set of the Gold Hornets (made for heavier guys like myself). Now Im having the same problem with these anyone have a wheel suggestion for a big guy. Im about 6'1" and 24o lbs. Looking for some help here Fellas.

Im fat, bald, and slow.

i'm a big guy and the rink rats have worked well for me. i have been wearing the Hot Shots for a while (6-8 months!) and i just ripped two off the hub the last two weeks. i am getting ready to try the gold's so we'll see how they do but i have been extremely happy with rink rat.

I like the feel of the R.R.Hornets but I've literally been pulling the wheel off of the bearing sleeve (there's gotta be a better way to describe it). Haven't tried the Hornets Yet but thats my next step since I break Labeda wheels in 2 or 3 weeks and hyper wheels suck anymore.

Im fat, bald, and slow.

i know exactly what's happening to your wheel because i did the same thing but only after extensive use. you may have gotten a bad wheel which i believe sometimes may happen.

You must have gotten a bad set. I am 6'2 210 and have been using Hornets for a few years now and never had that problem.

Bad wheel indeed, There was a small isuue with a few wheels 3-4 months ago, problem has been corrected...Tell you what send me an email at [email protected] and I will send you out a new set free of charge..I would expect your wheel problems to be over after that....

Email before friday so i can get them to you by middle of next week...

Just out of curiosity....what is the surface you are playing on? Wood, untreated concrete, asphalt, and even older sport court surfaces will all destroy these high grip wheels in short order....It seems like all your wheels are failing fairly quickly ..so my thoughts are it may not just be a "bad set"....

My son normally gets close to 4 months on his RR Hornets...almost any version...on sport court playing 3 - 4 times a week, but only 4 - 5 usages on wood and they are ripped up and cracked.

Might be worth having a look here, I've not heard much about ReVision, but what little I have they're pretty good.

Orange Labeda Milleniums are the best wheel for big guys...I know this for a fact!

I play on a sport court surface thats about 7 years old. I'm actually skating on my second set of Hornets (my first were the green and my second are the gold) and I've had the same problem with both. Our floor at Skater's Choice is pretty tight but I don't think anyone else has had the problem I'm having. Almost everyone loves the Hornets.
