Hockey Alberta In Line (HAIL) Calling All Alberta Inline Hockey Players 13-18 Years Old!
TEAM ALBERTA TRYOUTS
Team Alberta will make its fourth appearance at the USA Hockey InLine National Junior Festival in 2005 being held in Washington, DC June 3-5. The Team Alberta Selection Camp will be held in Red Deer, May 13-15. All Alberta athletes born between 1986 and 1988 are eligible to try-out for one of the 12 skaters or two goaltending positions.
The Selection Camp will consist of five floor session giving each player a chance to showcase their talents trying out for a spot on Team Alberta:
· Two instructional drill sessions
· Three controlled games or scrimmages
Each player attending the camp will receive a HAIL jersey.

CANADA WEST CUP TRYOUTS
Hockey Alberta In Line (HAIL) is pleased to be able to host the 2nd Canada West Cup on July 22-24 in Red Deer. The Canada West Cup program is the second step in the identification process in the Team Alberta Program of Excellence, following the Alberta Summer Games. All Alberta athletes born in 1989, 1990, and 1991 are eligible to try-out for a chance to participate in the Canada West Cup competition (regardless of whether they participated in the 2004 Alberta Summer Games) by attending the Identification Camp scheduled for May 13-15 in Red Deer.
The Identification Camp will also consist of five floor sessions:
· 2 skill analysis sessions and
· 3 controlled scrimmages
Each player attending the camp will receive a HAIL jersey.
The coaching staffs and evaluators will rank players attending the camp. At the conclusion of the camp the top 36 players & 6 goalies will be drafted onto 3 teams to compete in the Canada West Cup tournament against teams from British Columbia and Manitoba.

The Canada West Cup competition itself will consist of a one-day development camp and a two-day competition. The development camp will feature two on floor practices and team dynamics sessions. A round robin and medal round will make up the competition.
