PIHA Playoffs

Is there any word on the playoff location for this year? Will we be looking at a Growl/Typhon match up? Is so can the Growl get a leg up on the champs like they did at the beginning of this season?

Playoffs will be at the Sportsplex in Feasterville, PA. Everything will take place over the course of one weekend - playoffs and championships. Beyond that, I'm not quite sure if any specifics (dates/times) have been announced yet.

The Typhoon beat the Growl twice this past weekend in two exciting games. The Growl expect the return of some key players for the playoff drive and this will certainly make a Typhoon/Growl matchup a distinct possibility. However, it seems every team has a chance at beating the other this year, so playoff weekend isn't as predictable as one might think.

The playoffs are scheduled to be at the sportsplex as Naz said.

Friday evening will be wild card round (4 seed vs 5 seed) - best of one

Saturday will be semifinal round (1 vs winner 4/5 and 2 v 3)- best of three

Sunday is the championship finals - best of three

As per the Growl/Typhoon, dont count out any of the teams in the league that wll make the playoffs. The Rage have officially been eliminated over the past weekend and the playoff scenario is very unlikely to change. The only thing in question will be if the Growl or Minutemen will be the second seed and who will be the 4 seed out of the Tics or Inferno. Honestly with the proposed playoff setup, the stretch run should be fun, but unless something drastic happens, the playoff matchups seem set. It should be fun!
