Had one of those weird experiences yesterday...

Three months ago, this guy emails me, claiming to be Dave Kozlowski, gives me this story about how he's moving to El Paso to go to UTEP to finish his degree that he's been working on for years at Lindenwood U.

Yeah, right...but what the heck, I go along with it, give him all our info, etc...

Yesterday, Dave shows up, joins right into our all-levels Rec League, plays with an obviously superior skill level, but with total respect for every player in the game...what a class act!

Anybody got anything to further discuss about L.U. or any supposed negative impact on the game ought to take a look at how this guy carries himself.

L.U.'s loss is our gain. Just wanted everybody to know that, if the program is measured by Dave Koz, then L.U. is doing everything right, and their future is just as bright as their illustrious past. Good luck to everybody else in the NCRHA out there...

Koz was always a great guy in my book, and an amazing talent. He will be an asset to any program he joins and I wish him luck in yours. However, I am sure Koz would even certainly agree that the reputation that LU gained from some of its more 'punkier' players is not without merit. People don't dislike LU or put them down due to the level they have achieved, they do so because of the arrogance of some of the clubs members (moreso in the past than in the present). Even in his younger days, Koz was not always as 'polite' as he is now. He definately won the award one year for most whining-est captain! But everybody grows up. Love ya Dave!

LU!!!

I am sure there are always punks as you say on every team. As I sit here and know just about every player on their teams, I try to think of a "bad apple". Kind of hard for me to think of one. You look at Greg Thompson to Jeff Hill, wow, what a roster for a team. This next year I believe that my sonwill be fortunate enough to be one of those rostered players. I hope the sucess that was laid before him to continue on. Koz is one of those player who does what is needed to win the game. Going at half speed, he can energize the whole rink.

Danny, when we talked about him coming there and what he can bring to your rink, I knew getting him there would be a GREAT thing for you. Congratulations. He will help you in many ways.

Congrats to LU for winning in D1 and B nationals again and to another STL team for winning DIII St Charles Community College. Honerable mention going to Tomy Ames UMSL squad and to SLU. The other Missouri teams of UM- Rolla,(with a former player I coached Brandon Carter) and UM. great to see that there are so many players involved in the NCRHA that are MOIHA(Missouri Inline Hockey Association) alumni.
