PAN AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - INLINE HOCKEY: Inline Hockey Team USA Dominates Last Two Games of Round Robin for the Gold
2005 Pan American Championships - Mar Del Plata, Argentina

The United States Inline Hockey Team will be coming home with a gold medal from the 2005 Pan American Championships in Mar Del Plata, Argentina. The team ranked first overall in round-robin. Canada took the silver medal, and Argentina won the bronze. Mexico and Colombia took fourth and fifth place, respectively.
The game between the United States and Mexico ended in a shut out. Mike Ciolli (Colorado Springs, Colo.) was the only player to score in the first half. In the second half, Jon Mosenson (Woodbury, N.Y.), Dustin Roux ( McMurray, Pa.), Ron Tracy (Blackwood, N.J.) and Mike Ciolli each scored a goal for the United States. The game ended 5-0.
Team USA played a close grand finale game against Canada. Mike Ciolli was the first to score for the United States, shooting a goal into the net 16 minutes into the first half. Canada's Andrew Tait responded to Ciolli, ending the first in a tie 1-1. In the second half, Tait rolled out another goal for Canada, taking the score to 2-1. The United States topped off the score with a deuce as Ron Tracy and Jon Mosenson each scored a goal for Team USA, ending the excitement 3-2.
Inline Hockey competition was held Wednesday, April 20 through Saturday, April 23 at the Sports Center Stadium Islas Malvinas in Mar Del Plata, Argentina.
