Game 1)

Growl - 4, Minutemen - 1

Game 2)

Minutemen - 5, Growl - 2

Could be this rivalry will go all the way to the play-offs

Game 1:

The Growl deserved the win, out hustling the Minutemen to the puck, and making the smarter plays...their sticks were quicker and so were their feet. Hats off to Pinheiro again, playing even with a bum leg from a snowboarding injury, he was still a threat both games.

Game 2:

Better goaltending in the second game, and maybe some fatigue from game one, balanced the floor a lot more in the second game, and the relentless pressure of the Minutemen, gradually overcame the tiring Growl...there were flurries of action in both ends but more in the Growl's end as the game wore on.

Outstanding goaltending from the Minutemen in the second game helped neutralize any opportunites the Growl had to bring the game closer, combined with some great defensive play.

Nicky Dumoulis and Sonny Kim both came up big for the Minutemen.

It's fun to watch two teams with this much offensive horsepower go at it, makes for some very entertaining hockey....

Sounds like a great series, but look out for the Typhoon. They're getting it in gear and will be tough to knock off their champion perch.

Terrific series again in morristown. Very well put mike, extremely accurate.

Jason Kalish was terrific in goal in the first game for us and Copper again proved to be a torn in our side in game two. Johnny's injury became an increasing problem as the night progressed and especially after the break between games as it tightened up. He's a warrior for playing through it.
