I went and tried on the Vector PF8's and I was shocked at how comfortable they were and the amount of width in the boot!! I am wanting to buy a pair, but I just wanted to see if anyone had a pair of the PF8's and if they liked them or had any issues with them at all!! I could not believe how light they are, but that made me think that they may not be very durable. The chassis did not inspire confidence, it looked a little weak, but looks can be deceiving!! I did like the wheel size set up though.

Any comments or thoughts appreciated!!

I'm glad you liked them. They're worth the $250 in my opinion. I'm goin' on three months and have yet to experience any problems. I think I've taken a shot to the chassis and nothing happened to it. I've had chassis dent before on other skates and nothing sucks more than trying to skate and not going anywhere.

Thanks, I was just concerned about the durability of the boot and chassis. I am a very aggressive skater and I stop and start a lot. My Tours have held up well, but the rear of the chassis is bent from hockey stops and I have had to bend it back from time to time.

Actually, I do remember something from when I tried them on that I was curious about. I noticed that when I laced them up, the boot did not fold over the top of the foot, like my Tours. Will that stiffness in that area subside? Also I noticed that the upper support around the top of the ankle, was not as robust and tight, as my Tours. It was acceptable and I wrote that off to just the new stiffness, but it had me curious in general whether or not there would be sufficient support.
