Last nite (Saturady, Feb. 19/05) at 11:13 pm MST a dedicated group of hockey players playing on Dr. Brent Saik's home rink near Fultonvale, Strathcona County, Alberta, Canada, broke the existing Guinness Record of 203 hours for the Worlds Longest Hockey Game (WLHG).
The latest score as updated on the WLHG website (as of 11:50 am MST, Feb. 20/05) was after 8 days and 23 hours was:
Team A 1722
Team B 1601
So far this event has raised $80,000.13 for Pediatric Cancer Research.
Play is expected to continue until around noon on Monday, Feb. 21.
