View Full Version : Growl split first series with Minutemen
Well apparently the Morristown Minutemen aren't prepared to concede the PIHA season to the Growl's collection of stars just yet. In two hard fought games they ended up splitting the first meeting of these two teams.
results:
Game 1):
Growl 4
Minutemen 2
Game 2):
Minutemen 7
Growl 6

Guess its over for u Flynn, the Growl aren't the greatest team since the Oilers of the 80's

Hah! Well, I don't recall anyone ever claiming anything of the sort.
However, the season is young. That's the only truth at this point :)

Yes I concede. In fact I am dismantling the team as we speak. I enjoy these posts more than anything. It's a long season and there should be at least a 4 game minimum before the IHC crap talkers come outta the wood work.
I particularly like this one, as the poster has choosen to call me out by name(how funny that is to me). Keep the shots coming please, cause there is nothing more ridiculous then anonymous cheap shots. I take more crap from people like you in this sport and the only thing that seperates me from you and the others like you is that I have the nutz to sign my name to what I write. If I talked the crap that a lot of people do on here I would prolly be strung up, but then again if that was my intention I guess I would hide behind a pen name too. I'll call the Oilers and let them know that I retract my earlier statement (which I never made by the way) that we are superior.

This was a great series. I had hoped to see you there Mike.
Both games were tightly contested and in my opinion, each won by the goaltenders. Jason Kalish played an amazing game for us in game 1 and Matt Cooper shined in net with timely saves in game 2.
I look forward to this match up again, as I know our players will.
Hey if there was no heat in the kitchen..there would be nothing to cook with......There were some early references to the potency of the Growl in some previous posts on IHC....and with good reason, but not necessarily overtly by you...None the less, the temptation is just tooooo great for most of us...lol

and I don't mind the heat, the kitchen, or Naz's eyebrows. If you or anyone else wanna hammer the GROWL cause they dont go a perfect 32-0, cause someone predetermined on IHC that we are psooo potent, go right ahead. Instead I chose to congratulate the Minutemen, particularly Matt Cooper on a great game.
My beef is with the direct nature that the post and others have been focused at me and not the Growl as a whole. First I don't need to defend our roster, as a general manager I did what I needed to during the off season to make a better squad, while keeping the players that I felt were vital to the organization. The real irony of the situation is that I didn't go knocking on any of these players doors. All of the so called all-stars on our roster approached me or where brought along with someone who had approached me about going the GROWL.
So please continue to say whatever you want, trust me I can handle whatever you throw at me. BUT if you make it personal, then atleast sign your name to what you right. That's my only issue here.

Mike,
Simon played well...I believe he had the go ahead goal with only a few mintes left in the second game before the empty netter.....Is this a cooking show? Seems like everyone's trying to serve up the awesome dish of Beef-Stroking-off.....lol...lol....Sorry Richard, I couldn't help myself......
Oh...I need to sign my name...

PS Is simon trying out for AAU?
Thanks Jay
Anybody that feels secure enough to use the net handle "Swoosh" on a hockey board, is obviously in a position to discuss "beef-stroking-off" /wtimages/icons/wink.gif
He has not yet been asked to play for anyone....we are working on a plan that may require some serious commitment though.
